Sand Mountain layout

Happy Saturday. I'm having a great day today. I picked up my Grand-daughter this morning, went shopping for some girly clothes and a big cinnamon roll (my favorite). Now we're back home and little Khloe is taking a nap. Perfect timing to jump on the computer and post my layout for Sand Mountain. We went to Sand Mountain in Nevada for Easter (that's why there is a bunny peeking out from behind the tree). My son and daughter-in-law have quads that they like to ride. It was my first time there and it was pretty fun. I took lots of pictures so I will be working on more layouts like this. I used the Campin' Critters cartridge for everything except the font. The font is from the Pooh cartridge. Thanks for stopping by. Cindy

Nap Time Layout

Happy Thursday. I'm so excited that tomorrow is Friday. I will get off work at 11:30 and have the rest of the day to craft. I cleaned my scraproom yesterday so I'm all set. Unfortunately I can't find my Nate's ABCs cartridge that I was planning on using, but that's ok (for now). I'll just have to come up with some ideas using my other cartridges. I have several that haven't been used yet so maybe this will be the perfect time to pull them out. The layout above was made using the Baby Steps cartridge. I cut the sleeping baby on the moon at 3". The title was cut at 4". The patterned paper is from Creative Memories and the cardstock is Stampin' Up.
Okay, I'm going to check out some of my cartridge books now and see if I can design something on my Gypsy. Hopefully I'll have stuff ready to cut and assemble tomorrow.

Sold Out!

Wow, that was fast. From what I hear HSN sold 8,500 Cricut E2 machines and sold out before the day was over. If you wanted one I hope you got it. I wish I was at home watching HSN live when all the partyin' was going on. I love to watch the World Launches of Provo Craft items. Congratulations to everyone that was able to pick up this new fancy machine.

The New Cricut Expression 2 is now available

Cricut Machine

The new E2 is now available on HSN. They seem to be selling pretty fast. I think there were over 6,000 sold before morning. Did you order one? I stayed up watching the blogs and HSN for as long as I could, but fell asleep before the 1st airing was over. It was so exciting to see all the layout entries that were sent in to Jinger and aired on the show. I have it recorded and will watch it again when I get home from work. I'm not ordering the E2 at this time, but I've been having so much fun watching the videos and reading all the comments on the Cricut Message Board. It's going to be just as fun when they start getting delivered and we see what everyone is making with their new machines. Have fun and congratulations to everyone that ordered this great new machine.

Easter Baskets

I made new Easter Baskets. They turned out much cuter than my original try. I used the Create a Critter cartridge for the cute bunny. I still used the coffee cans. Added some Stampin' Up paper for the background and the grass. Then I added the little bunnies and candy.
Happy Easter everyone.

Happy Easter

Hello crafty friends. I know I've been missing in action for a few days. I've been really busy getting ready for Easter weekend. I'm still trying to make cute little Easter goodies, clean and organize my scraproom, work (that always gets in the way) and keep up with everyone's birthday in the family. It seems like I never have enough cards made and then I have to scramble at the last minute. Last week we had two birthdays. My Mom and my nephew. This week we have my husbands God-daughter who will be turning 20 on Easter. In the middle of everything going on I broke a tooth! Luckily it was a back tooth and it didn't hurt, but it sure did put a damper on my day and the next day when I had to go to the dentist to start the process of capping it. Ugh! I still have to go back in a couple of weeks to get the permanent fix.
So, I'm at work this morning, but I'm hoping to get some crafting time when I get home. My plan is to finish my Easter stuff and get a post on here with some pictures. I also have another baby layout done, but not sure if it will make the blog cut or not. I'll have to take another look at it when I get home. Just in case I'm not able to come back today I wanted to make sure and tell everyone Happy Easter. Cindy

Not very cute bunny.

Well, I thought I was making a cute little bunny basket out of my empty coffee cans. Turns out my bunny is not so cute. The ears look like girl ears, but the face looks like a boy face and the legs are just plain weird.  I guess it was just one of those good ideas that didn't work out. I might cut out the bunny from Create a Critter and try that. I'm not sure yet. I wanted to make a few of these for Easter weekend. We're going camping with family and I thought these would be cute to give out. I have a lot of the coffee tins already. Hmmmm, back to the drawing board.

More organizing

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a good weekend. I'm still in organizing mode. Unfortunately I still have a lot to do. I've been buying so many cartridges lately that I decided I needed to find a way to organize my booklets. I have a Gypsy, so my actual cartridges and overlays are stored away in boxes. I love to look through the book though, especially for layering. I was keeping my books in a drawer - not in any kind of order. I didn't have very many, so it wasn't hard to flip through them to find the one I wanted. Now that I'm up to OVER 70, it's getting a little harder. I saw a post on Okie's blog about how she organizes her Cricut books and thought it looked like the perfect solution. I started out using the tabs you can buy at any office supply store. I liked those because as I add more carts I can take out the paper insert and re-alphabetize. Well, I ran out of those and forgot to get more when I went to the store so I decided to use my Cricut to make paper labels. And you know what, I like them more than the store bought ones. They are bigger and easier to read. The only problem is that it will be a little harder to add new cartridges to the mix. That's okay though. I'll figure that out when the time comes. (I really don't need anymore carts!) So here is a picture of my drawer with half of the booklets done. I haven't finished yet, but I will soon. It really is a lot nicer to have the booklets alphabetized. Now it takes no time at all to find what I'm looking for.
Now if I can just finish this and the rest of the room so that I can get back to crafting I'll be happy. It seems like an endless process. I'm never super organized, but I should at least be able to see the top of my desk, right? Maybe I should take a picture of my desk right now and post it. Naw, I'm not that brave. Maybe after I finish organizing and cleaning. Stay tuned to see if that ever happens. LOL.

Trying to ORGANIZE

No layout or card today. I actually woke up early this morning and thought it would be a great day to do some crafting. I had the house to myself because hubby was golfing and my son was working. Well, somehow the crafting didn't happen. I started off with the laundry (yay me, my hubby is going to be so proud!) then I proceded down the stairs to my craft room. Once I got there I saw what a mess my desk was and decided I should do a little cleaning first. Well, there's never enough storage (because I keep buying stuff) and I suddenly remembered the sale at Michael's Craft Store. The Jet Max cubes were on sale for 50% off and today was the last day. So out the door I went and picked up a cube. Yes, just one. I don't have much room to put more of them, but I saw this new style and had to get it.
I'm not sure what I'll put in it yet. I was thinking cards, but we'll see. I put it together, but ran out of steam before getting it filled. I really like the dividers in the drawers. They are in both drawers and are removeable.

Anyone else have this type of cube? If so, what do you use it for? I would love some suggestions? I'll let you know once I get it filled. Have a nice weekend.

Bath Time/Nap Time layout

Wow, I finally got this layout done. I've been working on it for almost a week. For the first page I used New Arrival (for bath time), George and Basic Shapes (for the stars) and Pooh Font for the baby Pooh in the tub. On the second page I used the Nursery Rhymes cartridge.
I love the baby characters on the Pooh Font cartridge. There are only a few of them, but they are adorable. I will be using the others on some of my other baby layouts soon.

Babies are so precious when they sleep. I was pretty lucky that both of my boys were good sleepers.
Well, at least during the night. They weren't so good at taking naps once they became mobile. They just wanted to go, go, go.

New Blog Design

Well, I got adventurous tonight and decided to change the background on my blog. I'm not sure how I did it or how to fix it, so I think I'll have to live with it for awhile. At first I wasn't sure how to get to the dashboard to make a new post. Pretty scary stuff, but I think I figured it out now.  I wish I could make the middle column wider so that my posts and pictures would be bigger. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. I'm really not computer friendly. I just see so many cute blogs out there and I want mine to be updated and better looking. I'll keep working at it in between my scrapbooking. Have a great weekend.
Blessed are the children of scrapbookers, for they shall inherit the scrapbooks.
