Vinyl Polka Dots

Another vinyl project today. My daughter in law painted Khloë's room pink last week and on Saturday we added vinyl dots that I cut from my Cricut.

I cut the dots using George and Basic Shapes at 5.5". I didn't have enough vinyl to cut out her name so we used paper until the vinyl comes in. We taped it to the wall so we could place the dots and leave room for her name. The K and the C were cut using Tie The Knot. The other letters were cut using Quarter Note. I'll update the picture when we get the vinyl cut and put on the wall.

Here's an updated picture with the pink vinyl on the wall. (after taking the picture we noticed the dot over the n instead of the i where it's supposed to be. It's fixed now) lol.

Khloë loves it. This is a picture of her in her room with the big ol' teddy bear we gave her when she was born.

Garage Princess and Co-Driver

I thought I would take a little break from the purple layouts and share a couple of t-shirts I made for my grand-daughter. I used my Cricut and cut out heat transfer vinyl to create these.

These are pictures I took before everything was ironed on.

You can see driver is a little crooked. Don't worry, I straightened it out before I did the ironing. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture afterwards.

Here are a couple of pictures after with Khloë modeling, but it's quite difficult to get a 2 year old to stay still long enough to get a good picture.

All Smiles

Is there anything better than baby smiles and giggles? I think not. I only hope I can get some pictures of the baby smiling. Our first grand-daughter was always so serious when she was a baby. It was hard to get a picture of her smiling. Even when I thought I got one I would find out later, after getting the pictures printed, that I didn't get it.

Here's the layout.

I added the little butterfly from a Stampin' Up punch and added a sentiment to the middle of the banner.

Still more to come from this cartridge...

Sweet Girl Layout

Another layout from the Cricut First Few Years Cartridge. These layouts come together very quickly once you pick the papers you want to use. All the sizes are listed in the cartridge booklet.

I have a few more to make with purple and gray and then I'll switch to some other colors for our first grand-daughter. I might even go back and work on my son's baby album that's not finished yet. (he's only going to be 22!)

Here's a close-up of all the pieces in the lower corner. I added some pearls to the dress.

Come back for more layouts soon. Happy 4th everyone.

Announcing - The First Few Years

I have a layout posted over on the Cricut Fanatics Blog today. Please check out the full post over there.

I recently purchased the new Cricut cartridge The First Few Years and I am loving it. I started with the very first project and cut all the pieces exactly as the booklet suggested. Here is my finished layout.

Every piece on the layout was cut using The First Few Years cartridge except the butterflies which were made using a couple of punches by Stampin' Up.

I will have more layouts from this cartridge that I will be posting over the next few days. I hope you like lavender and gray. LOL.

Where did that mud come from?

What mud? I don't see any mud.

Nope, that's not mud on my face. I was just out here in the yard minding my own business.

No, I didn't dig that hole in the lawn. I have no idea how that hole full of muddy water got there.

Yes, that is my rope toy, but I didn't dig that hole in the grass and make a mud pit so that I could bury it.

No, that's not mud on my paws, you must be mistaken. And no way is that mud on my tongue!

Like I said, I was just sitting over here minding my own business. I don't know why you're so upset or why all this talk about mud and holes in the lawn.

I'm kinda tired now.  I'm not sure why. It's probably just the heat or something. I think I'll take a little nap over here where I've been this whole time, not doing anything wrong.
