I'm ready for summer already. Heehee. Yes, I know winter just started and the weather people are telling us it's going to be a long wet winter. I'm just not a winter kind of girl. I need my sunshine.<br />
<br />
Okay, enough crying. I have the last of my December Daily pages to share. <br />

Well, that's my December. January has already started off pretty busy for us. Hopefully I can find the time to keep up my scrapbooking and Project Life. At the very least I hope I can get my room cleaned up AGAIN and start doing some of that organizing. Happy New Year!<br />
<br />

Another quiet night at home. I love the real fireplace, but I really miss the gas fireplace in our old house. I really liked being able to flip a switch to turn it on and get instant warmth. My dear husband 100% prefers the real fire and did not like the gas one.<br />

<br />
December 23:<br />
At the last minute our Christmas plans changed drastically. We were supposed to have Christmas Day at my mom's house, but on the 23rd we found out half of the family wouldn't be able to make it. My mom thought it would be too much for us to drive 2 1/2 hours to her house so we offered to have everyone over on Christmas Eve. We hadn't done very much decorating so we had to kick it in high gear to get some lights up outside and some garland on the stairs. A few other decorations and that was it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5AQQq4c8-ww/Vord5r9RCcI/AAAAAAAAFr0/sUhEvm9VkQg/s1600/Dec%2B23%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5AQQq4c8-ww/Vord5r9RCcI/AAAAAAAAFr0/sUhEvm9VkQg/s320/Dec%2B23%2B2015.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
December 24:<br />
Hubby had to work so I got up early and started peeling potatoes for the dish I was making. Unfortunately I thought I could put all the peelings down the disposal. Note to self: Do not put a bunch of potato peels down the disposal! Luckily Michael came to the rescue and got everything cleared out. <br />

<br />
December 24 continued:<br />
I cut one of the page protectors in half to add a few additional photos. I included a name tag from one of my presents that Christopher gave me as the page turner.<br />

<br />
December 25:<br />
On Christmas Day we went to Michael and Robin's house and got to spend a wonderful time with them, the girls and Robin's family. It was so nice and relaxed, well as relaxed as it can be with two little girls on Christmas Day!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rbgmCGKJSUs/VorbINXBnSI/AAAAAAAAFpU/e5I2I16yZNo/s1600/Dec%2B25%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rbgmCGKJSUs/VorbINXBnSI/AAAAAAAAFpU/e5I2I16yZNo/s320/Dec%2B25%2B2015.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
December 25 continued:<br />
Some additional pictures of the fun we had on Christmas Day. The top right picture is a little dark, but I love it. I got Khloë an Instax Polaroid type camera and she loved it. She used two packs of film and every picture came out perfect. I think she's going to be the new photographer in the family.<br />

I've decided to continue with my December Daily thru the end of the year so I'll be back in a few days with more pictures. Khloë actually turned 5 on the 18th, but her party was on Saturday, December 19. Her theme this year was Ariel/under the sea. My sister Michelle did the amazing cake again. I am always excited to see the cake because she does such a good job. And they taste good too!<br />

December 20:<br />
Here I go running out of time and still have presents to buy. Unfortunately the one day I have free it's raining. Oh well, lets get this done.<br />

Tomorrow is my birthday so it will probably be a couple of days before I post more of my December Daily. I'll be back soon, another year older.<br />

<br />
December 14:<br />
We didn't really have anything going on except work, but when we got home we found this beautiful poinsettia on our porch from our neighborhood realtors.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BiKqJwqBC3k/Vord3Bp_jyI/AAAAAAAAFrA/edgunNggmd0/s1600/Dec%2B14%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BiKqJwqBC3k/Vord3Bp_jyI/AAAAAAAAFrA/edgunNggmd0/s400/Dec%2B14%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
December 15:<br />
Office holiday party always includes yummy food catered in. I think I have a picture of my plate of food every year and I think it always looks the same. Potatoes, bacon, fruit and something sweet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-16mVZ1j-FPA/Vord3Gmj1mI/AAAAAAAAFrs/MF1AfAfqYaE/s1600/Dec%2B15%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-16mVZ1j-FPA/Vord3Gmj1mI/AAAAAAAAFrs/MF1AfAfqYaE/s400/Dec%2B15%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
December 16:<br />
Another day wrapping presents. I still have a lot to do, but I ran out of tags so I'll have to wait until I make some more. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BFNkdJF2MaU/Vord3A9BI8I/AAAAAAAAFq4/KQ1UGAGAGTQ/s1600/Dec%2B16%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BFNkdJF2MaU/Vord3A9BI8I/AAAAAAAAFq4/KQ1UGAGAGTQ/s400/Dec%2B16%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
December 17:<br />
I made some more tags and wrapped some more presents. Starlet decided to "help", but all she managed to do is wrinkle the paper and get a plastic bag stuck around her neck. Silly girl, didn't her mom teach her not to play with plastic bags?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
December 18:<br />
After work Christopher and I went to the mall to get some more shopping done and to say "hi" to Santa.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-37HtHXxIcy0/Vord4OCwrsI/AAAAAAAAFrw/1Oy4f0WkL6c/s1600/Dec%2B18%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-37HtHXxIcy0/Vord4OCwrsI/AAAAAAAAFrw/1Oy4f0WkL6c/s400/Dec%2B18%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I hope everyone had a wonderful, safe New Year. I was able to spend a lot of the day in my craft room and the evening with my family, just the way I like it.Cindy@ Scrap-obsessed.blogspot.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11396150247935174332noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8721739584149487075.post-12914516228721787802015-12-30T06:00:00.000-08:002015-12-30T06:00:10.800-08:00December Daily 11-13I'm back. I got a few more pages done. I'm really trying to get caught up before the end of the year. Not sure I'm going to make it though. <br />
<br />
December 11<br />
Khloë had a Christmas party at her school and we were all invited. It was so much fun seeing her go through each craft station. They made Christmas trees out of sugar cones and frosting, reindeer food, ornaments and hot cocoa. They even had Santa stop by to see all the kids.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6cNVamn_5qM/VoGkzZ0xlRI/AAAAAAAAFo0/sjP37lDfnvU/s1600/Dec%2B11%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6cNVamn_5qM/VoGkzZ0xlRI/AAAAAAAAFo0/sjP37lDfnvU/s400/Dec%2B11%2B2015.jpg" width="312" /></a></div>
<br />
December 12<br />
After the Christmas party the girls came home with us for the weekend. We went on a walk through the nature park, Went to the bank so the girls could make a deposit in their savings account, rode a train, a merry go round and went to the Jelly Belly store. For lunch we took the girls to Pieology so they could make their own pizzas. We had so much fun. <br />

December 13<br />
On Sunday morning we woke up to Khloë and Kylee's elves trying to make us breakfast. They did a good job except the breakfast tasted a little like plastic. Lol. <br />

It has been such a fun weekend. I'm glad I have pictures to keep and share with the girls when they get older. Now that the celebrations are behind us I'm slowly getting caught up on my December Daily. I have all of my pictures printed up to today. It's just a matter of finding enough time to make my pages. For now I have December 7th thru the 10th.<br />
<br />
December 7<br />
Earlier in the month I mentioned that we went to cut our own tree down for the first time. It was beautiful at the tree farm, but when we got home we quickly came to the conclusion that we must have gotten the wrong tree. It was the scrawniest, saddest looking tree we've ever had. I went to Lowes to get a new tree topper and right out front were some beautiful trees that cost half as much as what we paid. I was very tempted to buy one, but I didn't. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
December 8<br />
I had an appointment to get a touch-up on my highlights, but somehow changed my mind when I sat in the chair. The girl that does my hair confirmed that we were just doing the usual and somehow, out of my mouth, came "I think I want to go darker". She was reluctant and gave me plenty of time to change my mind, but I insisted. (I know it's a little poofy in the second picture. Not sure what happened) I guess we will see how long it takes to lighten up.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Qfhr4foj5k0/VoGk08oGqkI/AAAAAAAAFos/G1CYT3zMIaY/s1600/Dec%2B8%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Qfhr4foj5k0/VoGk08oGqkI/AAAAAAAAFos/G1CYT3zMIaY/s400/Dec%2B8%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
December 9<br />
After work we decided to try something new and headed out to Pieology for dinner. It's kinda like a Subway where you can see all the pizza toppings in front of you and you tell the person behind the counter what to add to your dough as you go down the counter. We each had our own creation and it was yummy!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
December 10<br />
Finally I was addressing and mailing our Christmas cards. I had bought a couple of kits so I had these done weeks ago. I just kept forgetting to send them. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2cFqaI2OvTQ/VoGkzkaQ2DI/AAAAAAAAFoQ/t--4nO32WG4/s1600/Dec%2B10%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2cFqaI2OvTQ/VoGkzkaQ2DI/AAAAAAAAFoQ/t--4nO32WG4/s400/Dec%2B10%2B2015.jpg" width="303" /></a></div>

Hopefully you all had a wonderful holiday. Check back soon for more December Daily in the days to come. Actually I'm counting how many days I have left to finish my shopping. I'm starting to get a little worried that I won't get everything done. At least I've been able to stay caught up on my December Daily so far. <br />
<br />
Day 4<br />
I did as much shopping as I could in one day. I still have a lot to do though.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hmb-TnAmYpA/Vmn07IF6xfI/AAAAAAAAFnM/WWw_aSL99rA/s1600/Dec%2B4%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hmb-TnAmYpA/Vmn07IF6xfI/AAAAAAAAFnM/WWw_aSL99rA/s400/Dec%2B4%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Day 5<br />
We were all excited about cutting down our own Christmas tree for the first time. Khloë was very selective and made sure she picked just the right one. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-n-9rxQC0g6A/Vmn07ZTuC3I/AAAAAAAAFnU/qux_kv3H9qE/s1600/Dec%2B5%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-n-9rxQC0g6A/Vmn07ZTuC3I/AAAAAAAAFnU/qux_kv3H9qE/s400/Dec%2B5%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Day 6 <br />
Scooter's Birthday! He loves his birthday present. He's afraid to walk on the slippery wood laminate floor and we usually end up laying down area rugs and towels for him so I decided for his birthday I would get a large rug for our family room so that he would feel more comfortable walking around. It worked. He loves it. Look at that happy boy!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QGeIuDcEW2s/Vmn07f4LsZI/AAAAAAAAFnQ/mp4rC-t_r1c/s1600/Dec%2B6%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QGeIuDcEW2s/Vmn07f4LsZI/AAAAAAAAFnQ/mp4rC-t_r1c/s400/Dec%2B6%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Have a wonderful day and I hope you're as happy as a mastiff with a new rug.<br />

I'm working on a December Daily again this year. Are any of you joining the fun? I haven't finished my cover page, but I have a calendar printed that will be the main focus. I got the calendar as a free printable from <a href="http://stitchintime.typepad.com/stitch_in_time/2015/10/free-december-daily-calendar-printables.html" target="_blank">Stitch in Time</a> on their blog.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QL1LIbl-iOA/VmHEyL7M7hI/AAAAAAAAFms/IzZBJo7Ep9k/s1600/Dec%2BCalendar.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QL1LIbl-iOA/VmHEyL7M7hI/AAAAAAAAFms/IzZBJo7Ep9k/s400/Dec%2BCalendar.png" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
So far I've kept up with each day. December 1st a family friend stayed with us because he and my husband were leaving at 5:00 in the morning to golf. We went to my favorite restaurant for dinner, Texas Roadhouse. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyAx84pDXiUBDxPXvhmW2WoPw-9oidIH0taB2c1oau_umkZ7DSzc3KYhiMAUbJkk9S00hQSryf_2ag3I_R8ABhYLoa0CpGx17QlHVmQ5QxT3IFQL99fUWaZTE0oz0UDPyVIM6O17h6QT8/s1600/Dec+1+2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyAx84pDXiUBDxPXvhmW2WoPw-9oidIH0taB2c1oau_umkZ7DSzc3KYhiMAUbJkk9S00hQSryf_2ag3I_R8ABhYLoa0CpGx17QlHVmQ5QxT3IFQL99fUWaZTE0oz0UDPyVIM6O17h6QT8/s400/Dec+1+2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
December 2nd the boys were gone and I had a company come out to the house to give me a quote on expanding our deck. Our backyard is pretty much a blank slate right now with just a big area of grass. The guy that came out had some really good ideas and the prices were in line with the other quotes I've gotten. The biggest problem now will be the weather. I'm not sure how wet it will be in January and we might have to wait a few months longer to get started. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IIMcUwrmbPg/VmG7nWtmWKI/AAAAAAAAFmM/LCaIpIUhuBo/s1600/Dec%2B2%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IIMcUwrmbPg/VmG7nWtmWKI/AAAAAAAAFmM/LCaIpIUhuBo/s400/Dec%2B2%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
December 3rd I took Coco for a grooming. It was raining before I got home from work (which she loves) so when I got home she was a wet mess. I figured it would be okay because the groomer would be getting her wet for her bath anyway. Once we got there she was so excited she was trying to climb over the gate and the desk to greet "her friends" the groomers. I have never seen a dog that loved to go to the groomers like her. She didn't even look back to say bye as they took her leash. When I went to pick her up two hours later she was climbing into a groomers lap and giving her kisses. She didn't even care that I was standing there waiting for her. She was getting attention and that's what she lives for. She loves everyone and believes that everyone loves her. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d2Xmu0IQCOg/VmG7nVU0N4I/AAAAAAAAFmQ/eFOESDq9akA/s1600/Dec%2B3%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d2Xmu0IQCOg/VmG7nVU0N4I/AAAAAAAAFmQ/eFOESDq9akA/s400/Dec%2B3%2B2015.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Half a day at work today and then I'm off to Starbucks and Christmas shopping. Have a great weekend.</div>

It's been almost three months since moving day and I'm still working on my scrappy room. I had the layout the way I thought I wanted it and then changed my mind again. I had the closet the way I thought I wanted it and changed my mind again. Who knows where this will all end?<br />
Here are a few pictures of the updates:<br />
<br />
This first picture is when I thought I was done and had everything where it would be.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A1LKOXAwv4U/VWUyMFoMZ6I/AAAAAAAAFXI/SEkXsE8n1XU/s1600/1098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A1LKOXAwv4U/VWUyMFoMZ6I/AAAAAAAAFXI/SEkXsE8n1XU/s320/1098.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then, I decided to "re-do" my closet so that I would have more storage. I had a closet company that was going to come out and put two shelves above my paper racks and cubes. Well, I got impatient and decided to take everything out myself and take down the existing wire shelf and clothes bar. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v0KOd9MwHJw/VXCM9mzQ-cI/AAAAAAAAFjs/f8fZePjbisA/s1600/Scraproom6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v0KOd9MwHJw/VXCM9mzQ-cI/AAAAAAAAFjs/f8fZePjbisA/s320/Scraproom6.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Once the closet was cleared out I started measuring and realized my Ikea Expedit would fit perfectly (almost) in the bottom of the closet. I removed all of the albums and stuff on top. Luckily my dear husband was home to help with the big lifting.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5w_UIKRuPUk/VXCM8jz97XI/AAAAAAAAFjk/2i2ycumnUso/s1600/Scraproom4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5w_UIKRuPUk/VXCM8jz97XI/AAAAAAAAFjk/2i2ycumnUso/s320/Scraproom4.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is the finished closet. My paper racks and a small bookcase fit perfectly on top of the Ikea Expedit. You can't see it in the picture but there is a shelf in the top of the closet for storage. I didn't want to see it so I had the closet guy install it above the closet opening. It's perfect for storing my space heater and craft bags for traveling (among other things) that I don't use or want to see on a regular basis. Once I had everything set up I decided I didn't want to put the mirrored doors back on so they are being stored in a downstairs closet for now. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--zKi393qTbs/VWUyHruoXII/AAAAAAAAFWc/tmDiW7P-SJE/s1600/011%2B%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--zKi393qTbs/VWUyHruoXII/AAAAAAAAFWc/tmDiW7P-SJE/s320/011%2B%25282%2529.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I had to do something about my cabinets. I wanted a flat surface for working, but I also wanted storage on the sides. I decided to use my cubes at each end.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglCNjXVlLGgoZGTjH3rNQTwnT9GhNPofMipUOYKmsXwvTV3uQJVAzlCZ2ZuKDmUUlCCbzK6vWhKs6Rfq1rYb4K1RTgrnrfoNLSTuMMXaiwUwXysb93YSdBhu-kUlbmzbAtnkrf7d-_R9E/s1600/Scraproom5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglCNjXVlLGgoZGTjH3rNQTwnT9GhNPofMipUOYKmsXwvTV3uQJVAzlCZ2ZuKDmUUlCCbzK6vWhKs6Rfq1rYb4K1RTgrnrfoNLSTuMMXaiwUwXysb93YSdBhu-kUlbmzbAtnkrf7d-_R9E/s320/Scraproom5.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I added a few accessories and I think I'm done. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcvcx-nnOhmjRZLotXibuMTmAk8wSWa7KQZ8NIHuioh7-bMmUkO6ZMQgQn52vHR3IZkdNIm8SHvYoL4t3NKUkd1z3EmMRFcS4EdrDiSar9Q4NjEckKZeKPi2N8ucTwrvwzpju1VJlOt44/s1600/Scraproom.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcvcx-nnOhmjRZLotXibuMTmAk8wSWa7KQZ8NIHuioh7-bMmUkO6ZMQgQn52vHR3IZkdNIm8SHvYoL4t3NKUkd1z3EmMRFcS4EdrDiSar9Q4NjEckKZeKPi2N8ucTwrvwzpju1VJlOt44/s320/Scraproom.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />

I think I'm getting closer to crafting. I actually used that little bit of clear space on my desk to do some coloring for a 30 day coloring challenge on Facebook. I'll post information for that soon. </div>

I moved a few more things around and added a LOT more STUFF. Yikes! Where did it all come from? I still have boxes that haven't been opened yet. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get through it all.<br />
<br />
I started to feel a little desperate and <em>needed</em> to do something crafty, so I cleared off a small space on my desk and searched some boxes for a Close to my Heart kit that I could play with. I wanted a kit because it's the only way I'll have everything I need to get a project done. <br />
<br />
The kits come with all the paper and embellishments you need, including a stamp set. Now where are my scissors? Luckily I already had my ink pads and ATG gun unpacked.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AM2cayvnHCs/VTp41AycXHI/AAAAAAAAFUo/MA49NPk4yrA/s1600/Ink%2Bpads.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AM2cayvnHCs/VTp41AycXHI/AAAAAAAAFUo/MA49NPk4yrA/s1600/Ink%2Bpads.jpg" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
So far my ink pads and Copic markers are the only things that have stayed in their original spot.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wuxiPS7DwAo/VTp41ZzmFUI/AAAAAAAAFUs/d1OgjgucieQ/s1600/Ink%2Band%2Bcat.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wuxiPS7DwAo/VTp41ZzmFUI/AAAAAAAAFUs/d1OgjgucieQ/s1600/Ink%2Band%2Bcat.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The kit that I found in my box of "stuff" is for Thanksgiving cards. Hmmmm, it's only April and there are a lot of occasions for cards before Thanksgiving, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. And I gotta do some crafting before I go crazy!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH3A-H8Aw_yy3qz8sLetFuPGvbhorrCSwuD3-7geWMQatsN-PRp9kHpxcwuOI-2VKXZ5WtaBblbsTfWq9id4ckpT3Ql6KQHmvYRDH3GH-_vAhfYXw0_LBoDSijSVNsmkFQmnEwfnhk9KE/s1600/Kit+Cards+Mess.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH3A-H8Aw_yy3qz8sLetFuPGvbhorrCSwuD3-7geWMQatsN-PRp9kHpxcwuOI-2VKXZ5WtaBblbsTfWq9id4ckpT3Ql6KQHmvYRDH3GH-_vAhfYXw0_LBoDSijSVNsmkFQmnEwfnhk9KE/s1600/Kit+Cards+Mess.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I was able to get all 15 cards in the kit completed in just two evenings. Now I'm wondering if I can use some of these for housewarming party thank you notes. If we ever get around to having that party anyway.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqV6B_E4vtp95_qsfSCOn3PfdbCGXx-BgiOUrNGhpskrfbGWtqvxn3eTuwYz61zS_SyWHQsY_pXVbGQ2ekuDZOV3aDiaE5ePPvdktee6ZHip_NttQw-IAHUcaiW-4EZpqLR0arWVn062s/s1600/Kit+Cards.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqV6B_E4vtp95_qsfSCOn3PfdbCGXx-BgiOUrNGhpskrfbGWtqvxn3eTuwYz61zS_SyWHQsY_pXVbGQ2ekuDZOV3aDiaE5ePPvdktee6ZHip_NttQw-IAHUcaiW-4EZpqLR0arWVn062s/s1600/Kit+Cards.jpg" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
So ladies and gentlemen, the next time you feel the need to craft, but you're short on time, supplies, energy, space or just imagination, grab a kit and enjoy how easy it can be. As you can see I have a lot of stuff that has been moved. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvRV7aZVS-l4sMSnhHYtaKI8WomUqmZ8saDVjoVuNy_Q2IhBbDBKvqVjDM5AJYtBBcPVB1AimrG_MwENXA7HlPb7Hblp6vU9w4DYMSm2ztT6GFP0qQ_dNEOZw5rnC9S8V_ua25qKFckc0/s1600/IMG_2802.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvRV7aZVS-l4sMSnhHYtaKI8WomUqmZ8saDVjoVuNy_Q2IhBbDBKvqVjDM5AJYtBBcPVB1AimrG_MwENXA7HlPb7Hblp6vU9w4DYMSm2ztT6GFP0qQ_dNEOZw5rnC9S8V_ua25qKFckc0/s1600/IMG_2802.JPG" height="188" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It's filling up fast.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SaejMoSUgWc/VRwYDnFjazI/AAAAAAAAFSE/1MFfbIqxi1Q/s1600/IMG_2873.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SaejMoSUgWc/VRwYDnFjazI/AAAAAAAAFSE/1MFfbIqxi1Q/s1600/IMG_2873.JPG" height="195" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Okay, it's getting hard to move around in here. I had to tell the movers not to bring anything else in the room. That means I still have a lot of stuff in the garage to bring up and sort out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LsLAGvti9L0/VQnAUMqrTyI/AAAAAAAAFHw/VC_5udkUDnc/s1600/Scraproom%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LsLAGvti9L0/VQnAUMqrTyI/AAAAAAAAFHw/VC_5udkUDnc/s1600/Scraproom%2B1.jpg" height="203" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I got the paper holders in the closet and my desk settled in the middle of the room. This will be the basic layout, but there's still more to bring into the room so the Ikea cubbies on the window wall are going to change.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sh3Xii5regc/VRwnF1KHI1I/AAAAAAAAFSc/TqBuhZaBFrk/s1600/IMG_2907.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sh3Xii5regc/VRwnF1KHI1I/AAAAAAAAFSc/TqBuhZaBFrk/s1600/IMG_2907.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I haven't been able to do any crafting yet, but the girls sure had fun trying out the new room. I love having the desk in the middle of the room so that we can sit on both sides.<br />

Those happy faces are the reason I have a craft room (and way too many pictures to scrapbook!).Cindy@ Scrap-obsessed.blogspot.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11396150247935174332noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8721739584149487075.post-65572144748493532322015-04-08T06:00:00.000-07:002015-04-08T06:00:05.034-07:00My New Craft RoomHow can I be crafty without a craft room? This <em>is</em> a crafting blog after all, so I thought I would update everyone on the progress I've made on the new room.<br />
<br />
This first picture is one of the other rooms, but I wanted to give you an idea of what my craft room first looked like with carpet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuRrjjo6rHUJRUvTCtXvS0qGNG5eIvjhY1s6Pt45feVNlM4WB2di8Z88zc6ncazjAPSgARTygEd7lSuFPANPxVmQ67Xcq8yvdci4kuMCE-IU9_sBiN8uWn2aNyFMtT9oEm9tgPHGDjhWg/s1600/FullSizeRender.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuRrjjo6rHUJRUvTCtXvS0qGNG5eIvjhY1s6Pt45feVNlM4WB2di8Z88zc6ncazjAPSgARTygEd7lSuFPANPxVmQ67Xcq8yvdci4kuMCE-IU9_sBiN8uWn2aNyFMtT9oEm9tgPHGDjhWg/s1600/FullSizeRender.jpg" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
One of the contingencies of buying the house was that the seller would continue the wood flooring into my room. I love the way it looks. You can see in this picture I've started to map out where everything will go. I have high hopes for a flat screen tv on the wall. Lol.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CQgEjR7UwOU/VRwX_QiOm8I/AAAAAAAAFRk/A4XGJeBWxZQ/s1600/IMG_2605.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CQgEjR7UwOU/VRwX_QiOm8I/AAAAAAAAFRk/A4XGJeBWxZQ/s1600/IMG_2605.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The first pieces arrive. From this angle you can see that my craft room looks into the family room. I wanted a room that is close to the family so I could still feel like a part of everything.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZV8z-FLunA8/VRwX-qE2QrI/AAAAAAAAFRg/FU1JZBDNc14/s1600/IMG_2583.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZV8z-FLunA8/VRwX-qE2QrI/AAAAAAAAFRg/FU1JZBDNc14/s1600/IMG_2583.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
On one side of the closet I'll stack my cubes from Michael's. On the other side of the closet I'll have my three paper holders.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DryRSgIKYZM/VRwX-g6-29I/AAAAAAAAFRY/XQmVJWuRLNY/s1600/IMG_2585.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DryRSgIKYZM/VRwX-g6-29I/AAAAAAAAFRY/XQmVJWuRLNY/s1600/IMG_2585.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
More planning. It's really hard to know how a space will feel just by tape on the floor. These cubes won't stay here, but they give me a sense of how much room I will have to walk around my desk and cabinets when they arrive.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gAXioQ6JUrY/VRwYBBVpB6I/AAAAAAAAFRw/Lw5JWYM_Mzc/s1600/IMG_2673.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gAXioQ6JUrY/VRwYBBVpB6I/AAAAAAAAFRw/Lw5JWYM_Mzc/s1600/IMG_2673.JPG" height="195" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I still have a long way to go before I'm done, but I'm hoping it will all be worth it. It's amazing how much stuff I've accumulated over the years. I think it's time for a major purge or maybe I need to have a big crafting party and provide all the supplies. <br />
<br />
Check back next week for part two of My New Craft Room.<br />

It's turning out to be a much bigger job than I ever thought. <br />
<br />
The one thing we cannot live without is a functioning kitchen, so that was the first room we put together. Luckily my husbands mom offered to pack, unpack and set up all the basics for us. With everything else going on this was very much appreciated and saved us a lot of time for other things. <br />
<br />
Before I go into the story of the Kitchen Appliance Disaster I wanted to share a few pictures of the kitchen.<br />
<br />
This first picture I got off the internet. This would be my kitchen if it was white. I'm not a big fan.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a picture of my kitchen after being remodeled by the seller. I'm so glad he went with the dark cabinets, lighter counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Exactly what I wanted.</div>

<br />
Are you ready to hear about the Appliance Disaster? As you can see in the pictures, we needed to get a refrigerator. We also needed to get a new dishwasher because the one in the house was old and showing signs of rust. No problem. I love to shop and happily went to the local Home Depot after doing my research on line for models and prices. Picked out what I wanted and scheduled a delivery. Simple enough......<br />
But the first set showed up with dings and damage to both appliances. I sent them back and ordered new ones. The second set showed up to the house in perfect condition. The dishwasher was brought up to the kitchen first and then it was time for the refrigerator. There are 8 stairs outside and then another 8 stairs inside because our kitchen and main living space is upstairs. Two delivery guys with the refrigerator were on their way up the second set of stairs when all of a sudden I heard a lot of noise and panic in their voices. All three of them almost went over the railing and crashing down to the bottom floor. I almost had a heart attack when I saw what was happening. Thank goodness the railing is strong because that and the wall behind them were the only things that stopped total disaster. The bottom of the refrigerator caught on the wall as it started going over and put a big hole in it. The drawers came out and hit the railing which caused damage to both the railing and the refrigerator. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SdCbfzi9SqI/VQshMEvvlTI/AAAAAAAAFMg/mlY-ySKMI4w/s1600/IMG_2821.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SdCbfzi9SqI/VQshMEvvlTI/AAAAAAAAFMg/mlY-ySKMI4w/s1600/IMG_2821.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nWQuvI2zIvg/VQshM9GXYdI/AAAAAAAAFMc/d89kJV3M3TQ/s1600/Rail.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nWQuvI2zIvg/VQshM9GXYdI/AAAAAAAAFMc/d89kJV3M3TQ/s1600/Rail.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
So now my beautiful new house needs repairs and the refrigerator had to be returned again. Luckily they were able to bring a new refrigerator for the 3rd time just a few days later and THREE guys to install it. I am happy to say everything worked out finally and we have our new complete kitchen. I guess the 3rd time was the charm. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-R4qWF9Tn_TQ/VQshJSnfTfI/AAAAAAAAFLw/X8O82-74OKc/s1600/Dishwasher.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-R4qWF9Tn_TQ/VQshJSnfTfI/AAAAAAAAFLw/X8O82-74OKc/s1600/Dishwasher.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
One of the next things on the list of many things to do is to set up a little coffee bar area where my new Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Coffee maker is sitting. Stay tuned and I'll post pictures as soon as I get it done.<br />

<br />
Well, let me back up a little bit. We decided to have our garage floor done and paint the inside before moving anything. We knew if we didn't do it while it was empty it would never get done so we put off the moving guys for almost a week. Below you'll get to see pictures of our garage make-over.<br />
<br />
Before the Epoxy Coat Flooring and Painting:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQjWS5O3gtvEDSF7pUHiuQiK5owuwNRi6eddP25UjLqM2T-Ys-ybkeR25swDtXquW-NqWSfKHwofZaCqqpRCaypNk5-gFl9toeAVX6hMM18Og1aX0C1TIjPWLgVVoGGxhfW9-oBgmvp3o/s1600/Garage+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQjWS5O3gtvEDSF7pUHiuQiK5owuwNRi6eddP25UjLqM2T-Ys-ybkeR25swDtXquW-NqWSfKHwofZaCqqpRCaypNk5-gFl9toeAVX6hMM18Og1aX0C1TIjPWLgVVoGGxhfW9-oBgmvp3o/s1600/Garage+1.jpg" height="217" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
After Epoxy Coat:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQVQF2Ir-H1EBLpPbF89A03jztobVn0ANPaYYuL41opaGw1HbM4KQPzDL6OIBtS23NXMR9Nt77kptK1JfYr3c4l-Qqpq9Q9spqg7GRu56YmhOYJZQ1qN2ohpKnxI8X4xP3kjtGsR0kmUc/s1600/Garage+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQVQF2Ir-H1EBLpPbF89A03jztobVn0ANPaYYuL41opaGw1HbM4KQPzDL6OIBtS23NXMR9Nt77kptK1JfYr3c4l-Qqpq9Q9spqg7GRu56YmhOYJZQ1qN2ohpKnxI8X4xP3kjtGsR0kmUc/s1600/Garage+2.jpg" height="218" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
After Epoxy Coat and Paint:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fdEi8kzbPHo/VQnARbWAkXI/AAAAAAAAFHo/CvrejRiO2xs/s1600/Garage%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fdEi8kzbPHo/VQnARbWAkXI/AAAAAAAAFHo/CvrejRiO2xs/s1600/Garage%2B3.jpg" height="201" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the way it turned out. Now if my Dear Husband spills oil or anything on the floor it will just wipe up. We accidentally tested it with paint. We had drop cloths down, but after we were done we noticed there was an area with paint on it. Wiped right up. Yay!<br />
<br />
Here's a close-up of the floor:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The movers showed up to unload everything about five days later.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlDtNkg2qHfnVYL0xQmSni_8yTZjNAEhtPlSFw9eG0WaDHoZatU30vn0Iqmi5adkoMbl1YqHcq3iG_SyY0UbIzCEwuYwZ6li-eepge9CIeH0EnRs5esKE30eKq_WOCmHuYrfEALT22e8s/s1600/Moving+Day+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlDtNkg2qHfnVYL0xQmSni_8yTZjNAEhtPlSFw9eG0WaDHoZatU30vn0Iqmi5adkoMbl1YqHcq3iG_SyY0UbIzCEwuYwZ6li-eepge9CIeH0EnRs5esKE30eKq_WOCmHuYrfEALT22e8s/s1600/Moving+Day+2.jpg" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Next on the list of things to do:<br />
Besides unpacking and figuring out where to put everything, we need to set up an area for the dogs. We need to get a new fence on one side before the dogs can run freely in the backyard. <br />
I will post some of the house projects "Before" and "After" as we get things done. I'm afraid this might take longer than I initially thought though. Wish me luck.Cindy@ Scrap-obsessed.blogspot.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11396150247935174332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8721739584149487075.post-61464620148936677572015-03-18T11:18:00.001-07:002015-03-18T12:23:48.539-07:00The House that Almost Wasn'tWhere have I been, you ask? Why haven't I updated my blog since January, you ask? Well, there is a very good reason (this time). <br />
<br />
We have been wanting to move for a long time, but suddenly it was getting serious. The economy and housing market are picking up. There are more houses to choose from, interest rates are still extremely low and prices are starting to rise. We needed to either find one soon or make a decision to stay in our current house. <br />
<br />
Every day I was checking the new listings and every weekend I was going to open houses. One weekend in January my sister and niece came to visit for my birthday. They joined me in the house hunt as we looked at open houses and new model houses. When we ran out of those I told her about a house that looked really nice on the internet, but it was too far to commute everyday. We decided to go take a look anyway just for the fun of it. And that, my friends, is where the craziness started. <br />
<br />
The neighborhood and the drive to get there was beautiful. It is called Rolling Hills Neighborhood for a reason. When we drove up to the house (because I instantly loved it) I just kept saying, "It's too far. I don't want to like it. It's too far." My sister looked through a window and immediately said, "Get Christie (my other sister/realtor) over here right now so you can make an offer." We hadn't even been inside yet, but it was already that nice. It was getting dark out and my poor sister/realtor was seriously sick with the flu, but she came to show us the house anyway. I couldn't help it. I fell in love. It had been completely remodeled with everything I would have wanted and more. There was even a peacock that came to welcome us to the neighborhood! I was ready to submit an offer on the spot. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B7GE7AGAI1E/VQm8PFIVYhI/AAAAAAAAFF0/_pjQriT198I/s1600/Peacock%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B7GE7AGAI1E/VQm8PFIVYhI/AAAAAAAAFF0/_pjQriT198I/s1600/Peacock%2B2.jpg" height="400" width="265" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAJvsVSWJldku12jziC-IjXydEYdpJ0iAbgvbApP1Kdr763qiXWVOwoR2OejUeSQJAyc-EFQu8tmVTqykWoY7jsL5U-UmmEQnZX9NeWKH_oiLZ4b7K64Y0WvLa8YT0kkYeZDCAmiem5es/s1600/Peacock.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAJvsVSWJldku12jziC-IjXydEYdpJ0iAbgvbApP1Kdr763qiXWVOwoR2OejUeSQJAyc-EFQu8tmVTqykWoY7jsL5U-UmmEQnZX9NeWKH_oiLZ4b7K64Y0WvLa8YT0kkYeZDCAmiem5es/s1600/Peacock.jpg" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
We went back home, told hubby all about it and insisted he go see this beautiful house first thing in the morning. I emailed the lender and had him start the loan process. We made our offer. A couple days later we had an agreement and everything was rolling. We had a house inspection, roof inspection, pest inspection and chimney inspection. I got everything to the lender and we were hoping to close escrow on February 13th so that we would have our new house for Valentine's Day.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4T4UMoKn8Zk/VQnAM4OgNFI/AAAAAAAAFGw/s1WgxPsMNzE/s1600/Front%2Bof%2BHouse.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4T4UMoKn8Zk/VQnAM4OgNFI/AAAAAAAAFGw/s1WgxPsMNzE/s1600/Front%2Bof%2BHouse.jpg" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And then everything seemed to come to a screeching halt. The lender wasn't getting back to me in a timely manner and when he did he kept needing more things. Items he had at the beginning of the process he needed updated because it was taking so long. He also needed new things. Things he should have asked for at the very beginning. Crazy things like a copy of our driver's license or a letter saying why we wanted to buy a house. It seemed like every two days he needed two more items. Our simple 30 day escrow turned into a very stressful 52 day escrow. I didn't think it was ever going to happen. The seller had every right to put the house back on the market and we could lose it because of how incredibly slow and incompetent our lender was. <br />
<br />
Just when I thought I couldn't take anymore the loan was finally completed and we were signing papers for our new house. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hls64emsQsw/VQnQe0qjuNI/AAAAAAAAFKI/NYe-XlvVyPg/s1600/Signing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hls64emsQsw/VQnQe0qjuNI/AAAAAAAAFKI/NYe-XlvVyPg/s1600/Signing.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
What a relief it was to finally be done with that part of it. Stay tuned for "The Big Move" and other happenings along the way.<br />

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will continue until December 31st though. I like having the whole month in one album. <br />
<br />
December 21 and 22:<br />

<br />
Day 21: I had stayed the night at my son and daughter in law's on the 20th so on the 21st I woke up to Khloë telling me I had to go see what her elves had done. (I might add that she was eating a marshmallow as she was tugging at me to come see). We walked into the hall bathroom and saw the elves taking a marshmallow bath in the sink. Too funny. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Day 22 I realized there was no way I could do another thing in my scraproom until I cleared some space. How does it get this bad? Also saw this cute smoosh faced puppy at the bank. She was like a tiny different colored Scooter. Lol.<br />

December 23 and 24:<br />

<br />
Day 23 I didn't do much of anything except get ready for Christmas. That included filling up the car for our drive on Christmas morning. Gas prices are sooooo low right now. Loving it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihuM_cFDvqekhcu0qhMbdCnk6PHnXIK9B1ZiQ5wBIEkRYhfrB0ArGhvX3eqvrpMpgqSoB2S55_SvYkyahv4JBA-fpGd99ybKC5GCxA3bHlxUa51wtjhSX_t4dYKTaghINruA2DX0GEQCk/s1600/DD+23.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihuM_cFDvqekhcu0qhMbdCnk6PHnXIK9B1ZiQ5wBIEkRYhfrB0ArGhvX3eqvrpMpgqSoB2S55_SvYkyahv4JBA-fpGd99ybKC5GCxA3bHlxUa51wtjhSX_t4dYKTaghINruA2DX0GEQCk/s1600/DD+23.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
Day 24. Christmas Eve was finally here. I loved watching the girls open presents. Khloë was the funniest. She would open something, exclaim how much she loved it and then toss it aside to open another. Kylee just had fun opening anything she could get her hands on.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik6siSUufliFFXumXHP4TrY5cfyWPbXT6IyXnkkSJ1Ouyvl0tMpAUBOEjKyK-4XYiG3Q2EChDVnk0ASSFNMcCMuJDW2isj3_E_rkceodHVhUUJ5qgONYqgpP-fOaZ8R7H-Dhsb6a3Ac48/s1600/DD+24.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik6siSUufliFFXumXHP4TrY5cfyWPbXT6IyXnkkSJ1Ouyvl0tMpAUBOEjKyK-4XYiG3Q2EChDVnk0ASSFNMcCMuJDW2isj3_E_rkceodHVhUUJ5qgONYqgpP-fOaZ8R7H-Dhsb6a3Ac48/s1600/DD+24.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
On Christmas Eve we had our own little Christmas together before the arrival of husbands side of the family. Then we got to do it all again. I added flip pages to this page so that you could see more pictures underneath. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9JqDqs-yw6E/VK11vZRoCdI/AAAAAAAAFBE/n3wqOd1Ff_k/s1600/DD%2B24x.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9JqDqs-yw6E/VK11vZRoCdI/AAAAAAAAFBE/n3wqOd1Ff_k/s1600/DD%2B24x.jpg" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Next will be Christmas Day! I don't know how I'll decide on the pictures to use. I might need a lot of flip pages. Hopefully I can get them finished in the next couple of days, but not tonight. Tonight we all go out to dinner for my birthday. See you soon.Cindy@ Scrap-obsessed.blogspot.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11396150247935174332noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8721739584149487075.post-51323459807758280692015-01-05T11:10:00.002-08:002015-01-05T11:10:15.679-08:00Day 15, 16, 17 and 18 - December DailyMaking progress.<br />

<br />
Day 15 I went to pick up my "driving" glasses after work. They were finally done and I was able to try them out for the first time. Let me just say that it didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. But for the record, the dent on the side in the white part was not from me. Somebody hit my parked car in the garage at work. Of course there are three floors of offices and nobody came forward to tell they did it. Grrr. <br />
The damage I did is barely noticeable. It's in the chrome and rubber part of the bumper at the bottom. Still doesn't make me happy, but I'd rather have that than the big dent on the side.<br />

<br />
Day 17 I finally found some cutting boards for the Christmas presents I wanted to make. They didn't have any at the store everyone was talking about so I had to find them somewhere else. I really like the way they turned out. I got the idea from the Cricut Lovers Guide to Design Space Facebook page. Betty Biswell shared the file that she created and let us use it for our personal use. She did a great job and made it so easy to use. <br />

<br />
Day 18 was Khloë's birthday. Her class had a little party for her and then we all went out to dinner at her favorite place. Can you believe it's been four years already?!<br />

I wasn't able to post my progress yesterday because of technical difficulties. Ugh! My laptop is borderline out of space and won't let me do some of the things I need to do. Luckily my iPad works perfectly.<br />
I'm making good progress on my December Daily album. I have three more days ready to share. I have a couple others done but haven't taken pictures of them yet. Hopefully I'll get that done today.<br />
Day 12:<br />

I hope everyone had a wonderful start to the new year. I loved having the day off work. Got a few more pages completed in my December Daily. I was also able to do a little cleaning in my craft room and put some things away. There is now a noticeable amount of floor space that is showing. Still not much room on my desk, but I'll get there. <br />
<br />
Four more pages completed in my December Daily! I'm pretty happy with my progress lately since I got started so late. Here are pages 8 & 9.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RaiFN_-msXk/VKbK4A5O2uI/AAAAAAAAE7k/xQLnUqATFcQ/s1600/DD%2B8%2Band%2B9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RaiFN_-msXk/VKbK4A5O2uI/AAAAAAAAE7k/xQLnUqATFcQ/s1600/DD%2B8%2Band%2B9.jpg" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
December 8th was just a normal work day. Nothing special, but I did have an eye appointment after work. As I suspected my eyes are getting worse as I get older. I got my first pair of glasses last year for reading. This year the eye doctor suggested adding a second pair for driving. She said it would help my eyes not feel so fatigued and make driving at night easier because the glare from the lights wouldn't be as bad. Stay tuned for the follow up story.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
December 9th Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was on tv. It was the first Christmas movie of the season for me. At this point I was trying really hard to convince myself that it was <em>that</em> time of year. The days have gone by so fast and I am not ready. What happened to summer?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHi335ybfX0tVZUHjfxvL8JBcrOBR9bnPslMFe9uHh6UL0KrGh2JYwfPEz7394Xv6WsimzHyTf8claPPHO5ZW5bY3tLyGn47a1jOKHb_otVjSdjTuvSrjD9MmEDB5rylI0BIQBohmGQTQ/s1600/DD+9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHi335ybfX0tVZUHjfxvL8JBcrOBR9bnPslMFe9uHh6UL0KrGh2JYwfPEz7394Xv6WsimzHyTf8claPPHO5ZW5bY3tLyGn47a1jOKHb_otVjSdjTuvSrjD9MmEDB5rylI0BIQBohmGQTQ/s1600/DD+9.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
December 10th and 11th:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hCWSSDugHyo/VKbK2wv110I/AAAAAAAAE7c/vAtenMKAVOI/s1600/DD%2B10%2Band%2B11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hCWSSDugHyo/VKbK2wv110I/AAAAAAAAE7c/vAtenMKAVOI/s1600/DD%2B10%2Band%2B11.jpg" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
December 10th we had a very yummy breakfast put on by the building management at work. I'm not usually a big breakfast person, but I thought about going back and getting a second plate. The potatoes were my favorite. <br />
<br />
After work I had to get gas (so that I could get to work again the next day). The lines were crazy long. I guess everyone was taking the weather man seriously when they said it was going to be the worst storm in 10 years and that we should prepare. Luckily I stopped at Starbucks before getting in line. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Zp4RcjFibUk/VKbK3OPOO3I/AAAAAAAAE7U/YP1AmPe7JTU/s1600/DD%2B10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Zp4RcjFibUk/VKbK3OPOO3I/AAAAAAAAE7U/YP1AmPe7JTU/s1600/DD%2B10.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
On the 11th the rain continued. I had to work so I could only hope everything was okay at home. We have some large redwood trees on the hill behind us and I was hoping they would still be standing when I got home. We get a lot of wind in our area so I was also worried about the fence holding up. I didn't want the dogs to get out during the storm. Luckily everything was fine at home. Just a few puddles that hadn't drained. Scooter was smart and stayed in the garage where it was warm and dry. Coco of course was like any two year old. She was having the time of her life running around in the rain and jumping in puddles. Silly girl.<br />

I hope everyone is off to a good start. I got a few more pages done and photographed. At this rate I should have my December Daily completed by the end of January. <br />
<br />
Day 4 and 5:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dFQQrelVjR4/VKQhMjflM6I/AAAAAAAAE6I/Np5yuJldRK8/s1600/DD%2B4%2Band%2B5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dFQQrelVjR4/VKQhMjflM6I/AAAAAAAAE6I/Np5yuJldRK8/s1600/DD%2B4%2Band%2B5.jpg" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Day 4 I made a list of all the things that need to be cleaned, organized and purged from the house in order to sell it. The list was about 4 pages long! After wearing myself out just thinking about all the stuff that needs to be done I stopped by Starbucks and then picked up a pizza for dinner (Hubby is still golfing).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hdsrIs4PwwY/VKQhMprtiaI/AAAAAAAAE6Q/HrMu2iOszuE/s1600/DD%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hdsrIs4PwwY/VKQhMprtiaI/AAAAAAAAE6Q/HrMu2iOszuE/s1600/DD%2B4.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
Day 5 I went shopping for some plastic totes to pack things into and out of the house. I also bought a new bathroom shower curtain and matching rugs to spruce the place up. As soon as I put the rug on the floor Starlet claimed it as her own. I guess she approved.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU6bVck3BuQkJgnsyqgPTvw5NSv6WkStVc5mJb4TJZ7-93FTCMC8NuEjQxfNbeMrVneeCIpyuSQzMddGv_kZWhwfzpN8HOy26B5kJvOSa75fTMPIOZhyphenhyphen8Daqp2NjDoevZoHpYycZXtTP8/s1600/DD+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU6bVck3BuQkJgnsyqgPTvw5NSv6WkStVc5mJb4TJZ7-93FTCMC8NuEjQxfNbeMrVneeCIpyuSQzMddGv_kZWhwfzpN8HOy26B5kJvOSa75fTMPIOZhyphenhyphen8Daqp2NjDoevZoHpYycZXtTP8/s1600/DD+5.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
Days 6 and 7:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaat2taNZdqh3Ax1EBLxjAE3aAeDE0EnjbFkmB_j-JtyFgrJ0fV19eb3qWfP0HmNYhJUAGRPusL4yohyMhVGQJ5ihs8Kx1C0CEk0ZBhiDQ3yk7TdShLOVfVI-e-BQ-dN_GHJVMfWbuRGo/s1600/DD+6+and+7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaat2taNZdqh3Ax1EBLxjAE3aAeDE0EnjbFkmB_j-JtyFgrJ0fV19eb3qWfP0HmNYhJUAGRPusL4yohyMhVGQJ5ihs8Kx1C0CEk0ZBhiDQ3yk7TdShLOVfVI-e-BQ-dN_GHJVMfWbuRGo/s1600/DD+6+and+7.jpg" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
On Day 6 I went to son and daughter in law's. I spent the day with the girls crafting. We went to Michael's Craft Store, picked up lunch and then crafted the day away.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0t2POMwHRw4/VKQhOeI-llI/AAAAAAAAE6c/g_M74oLGt3U/s1600/DD%2B6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0t2POMwHRw4/VKQhOeI-llI/AAAAAAAAE6c/g_M74oLGt3U/s1600/DD%2B6.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
While I was crafting the day before my sweet husband went out and got our Christmas tree. He had it all set up in the living room when I got home so the next day I could decorate it. While I decorated inside he was outside hanging the lights on the house. After all the decorating we went down "the list" of things to be done and ended up cleaning out the kitchen cabinets. One more thing checked off!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The last day of the month and the last day of the year. I must say this year has gone by way too fast. As this month comes to an end I am still working on my December Daily album. In fact I am only on day 11. I'm hoping that tomorrow I will be able to spend a good part of the day working on more pages and get closer to finishing. We will see how my plan works. <br />
<br />
For now here are a few pages:<br />
<br />
December 1st was also Cyber Monday. This year I did most of my shopping on line. It was so much easier than fighting the crowd at the stores on Black Friday. Of course I did go out to the stores, but not for anything I <em>had</em> to have. It was more for fun and to pick up a few random things that caught my eye.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W1fgId4f0p8/VJeY9556XqI/AAAAAAAAE5M/HmrJCwy6w6k/s1600/123.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W1fgId4f0p8/VJeY9556XqI/AAAAAAAAE5M/HmrJCwy6w6k/s1600/123.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Day two the rain started. A few presents also started to arrive. Luckily they weren't out in the rain when I got home from work. Thank goodness for covered porches.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m1ZWYImlxC8/VJeY-yf0L2I/AAAAAAAAE5U/Ca19Vlf6dxU/s1600/124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m1ZWYImlxC8/VJeY-yf0L2I/AAAAAAAAE5U/Ca19Vlf6dxU/s1600/124.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Day 3 I did a little more shopping and picked up Chick-fil-A for dinner. Hubby was gone for a couple of nights with the guys on a golfing trip so I just pick something up between errands to eat.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LB395gBkLKQ/VJeY-L_fBqI/AAAAAAAAE5c/QzaBJE8reT4/s1600/125.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LB395gBkLKQ/VJeY-L_fBqI/AAAAAAAAE5c/QzaBJE8reT4/s1600/125.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I also started cleaning out the downstairs closet. I wish I had remembered to take a picture before I started. It makes a huge difference when you organize similar items in baskets. <br />
<br />
The other two pictures were sent to me by my daughter in law, Robin. I had bought grand-daughter Khloë a tadpole because she wanted a frog. Couldn't find a frog at the pet store so I got the next best thing. Robin sent me the pictures to show that "Prince Eric" (From Ariel) finally got his legs. Lol.<br />

<br />
Day 3 side by side:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Don't I live an exciting life? Shopping, eating and pictures of grand-frogs. These pictures are from October. Kylee turned one and had a Daisy Duck themed party. The push ups, cupcakes and cake were all made by my sister Michelle. She has her own business called <a href="https://www.facebook.com/SinplicityCupcakes" target="_blank">Sinplicity Cupcakes.</a> She not only makes super cute cupcakes and cakes, but also the yummiest. <br />

I've seen a few people use these cups and found out you can buy them on line at <a href="http://www.webstaurantstore.com/">www.webstaurantstore.com</a>. They are 4 oz. each so they are the perfect size for favors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidirsuppXAcB6gyta_NTZGw2o7dn1qblkO8PC7b0-toIMrbgx9DmrTnG9Cjmal2PVs9FsUtRWAGfPlhRm-YsMxRsZIdRU6u_pdZBMN81wMqQvcHYVrA9bDFVG1cipJ5Mez4VcrmxPLrLE/s1600/Frozen+cups+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidirsuppXAcB6gyta_NTZGw2o7dn1qblkO8PC7b0-toIMrbgx9DmrTnG9Cjmal2PVs9FsUtRWAGfPlhRm-YsMxRsZIdRU6u_pdZBMN81wMqQvcHYVrA9bDFVG1cipJ5Mez4VcrmxPLrLE/s1600/Frozen+cups+2.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the Cricut Explore to cut the snowflakes. It cut them perfectly, but it sure took a long time to cut all of them. It also took a long time to carefully get them off the cutting mat. I tore a couple in the process, but overall they came out good.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ts1a7Q-kDOw/VGpIA14WqNI/AAAAAAAAE00/mJfjK0uS1Rs/s1600/Frozen%2Bcups%2Blabels.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ts1a7Q-kDOw/VGpIA14WqNI/AAAAAAAAE00/mJfjK0uS1Rs/s1600/Frozen%2Bcups%2Blabels.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
For the tags I used the Stampin' Up modern label punch. I inked the edges and stamped "thank you" from a stamp by Paper Smooches. The tiny snowflakes in the middle are stickers and the bling was Recollections brand from Michael's Crafts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Tps5XAFWY8k/VGpIAiMwmCI/AAAAAAAAE0s/ZPj95_h-wV4/s1600/Frozen%2Bcups.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Tps5XAFWY8k/VGpIAiMwmCI/AAAAAAAAE0s/ZPj95_h-wV4/s1600/Frozen%2Bcups.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
The cups are plain white when you get them. I cut snowflake paper from Michaels to cover the cups and added a solid blue cardstock band around the middle. Then I attached the labels and snowflakes. Inside will be a little candy surprise. My sister was married on Saturday in an outdoor ceremony. It was so beautiful. The weather was perfect, the company was perfect and the wedding was perfect. <br />
<br />
I made a few banners for the occasion and totally forgot to take pictures of them. Luckily my sister had an amazing photographer and she got some of the banners in her pictures. Her name is Amanda Hobbs and her facebook page can be found here -> <a href="https://www.facebook.com/AmandaHobbsPhotography" target="_blank">AmandaHobbsPhotography</a>. She took some of the most beautiful pictures at the wedding. If you happen to live around the Oroville, Chico, Yuba City area and need a photographer you should definitely look her up. Here is one of the pictures she took.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4Eby0iYCw20/U3OOttNDhGI/AAAAAAAAEYQ/hW4-kTelN4U/s1600/Love+Banner.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4Eby0iYCw20/U3OOttNDhGI/AAAAAAAAEYQ/hW4-kTelN4U/s1600/Love+Banner.jpg" height="256" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Now I'm embarrassed to show you a picture I took, but here goes. This picture was taken at the house real quick with my phone before I put it in the mail to my sister. Yep, that's my excuse for the poor quality. Lol. You probably can't even read it, but it says - Happily Ever After. It was hanging behind the bride and groom dinner table. <br />

I first painted the canvas with white paint and then added the letters that I cut out of vinyl from Cricut Explore machine. The vinyl DID NOT want to stick. I thought it was just the cheap stuff I was using so I used some better vinyl, but it didn't want to stick either. It took me more time trying to stick those letters down than it did for the whole project. <br />
<br />
Here's a picture with the vinyl.<br />

<br />
I probably should have left it at that, but it wasn't what I wanted for the end result, so I forged ahead. I added two coats of black paint and a few touches of the white to create a chalkboard affect. It looks better in person, but there was one area where the vinyl pulled up a little.<br />
