It's Magic layout

The pictures on this layout aren't the best quality. In fact some of them are just down right blurry, but I love the expression on Khloë's face, especially in the last picture.

When my son and his family moved into their first home Khloë was just a year and half old. She had fun checking out all the cabinets and finding which one's she could hide in. The one in the kitchen corner was her favorite.

The first time I saw her go in the cabinet I asked her what she was doing. She just looked at me with that little smile, like to say, "Watch me. I'm going to disappear now".

Of course I played along and said, "Where's Khloë? Where's Khloë?"  She popped the door back open and jumped out laughing. She was laughing so much it was hard to get a good picture.

The last picture is the blurriest, but it's also my absolute favorite. Even with it being such a bad picture you can see how much she was laughing. That is pure joy.

Baby Shower Decorations

Did you miss me? It's been a month since my last post. I've been busy with the baby shower decorations and didn't want the Mommy-to-be to see them before the shower, so I couldn't put them on my blog. We had the shower this past Saturday and everything turned out perfect so I have lots of pictures to share.

Centerpieces were umbrellas in clay pots that were spray painted lavender and then covered in baby diapers. Inside the pots were lots of Cricut cuts on sticks.

Close-up of the centerpieces.

I used decorative tape to cover the pvc pipe holding the umbrellas. I also used the same tape to wrap the water bottles. Then I hung Crystal Light on the outside for anyone that wanted to flavor their water.

The favors were little boxes that held Hershey's Hugs and Kisses.

Another favor we made for the guests were little bottles of hand and foot scrub. I attached a tag that says, "Thank you from baby and me" and then I hung a hand and foot that I made using Shrinky Dinks. The little butterfly on the Hershey Nuggets were made using a Stampin' Up punch.

This is a picture of the favor and treat table.

I will have more pictures tomorrow with the banners, tables and a few other goodies. Stay tuned.

My Life Monday - Project Life week 16

I'm slowly catching up. But as you can see I'm still behind. This is week 16, which was a month ago.

These are mostly pictures of my days leading up to my trip to the Georgia Circle Mania and my time while I was there. I had my nails painted Cricut green and I went to have my hair trimmed and colored so it didn't drive me crazy while I was in Georgia.

While I was waiting for my flight I got a little bored so I snapped the picture of my plane as it was getting ready for boarding. The second picture was when a man came to the hotel and was selling scrapbook stuff out of the back of his van. LOL (-:

While I was away my family sent me pictures of the things going on at home. Our new puppy Coco met the neighbor girl and another neighbors rottweiler. Khloë had Krispy Kreme donuts without me and Coco decided she was very comfortable in her new home with a comfy bed. The last picture is hard to see, but it's the pasta alfredo and strawberry daiquiri I had for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory my last night in Georgia.

My Life Monday - week 15

Hello Crafty friends. I hope you had a good weekend. They always go by so fast and now we're back to Monday AGAIN. We're having more and more beautiful days lately. The temperatures are warming up and dogs are enjoying time in the kiddie pool.

April 13th had a lot of activities jammed into one day. It started out with us driving to our son and daughter-in-laws house. We went to Khloë's gymnastics class and watched her. Then we took her to lunch at Chevy's. After lunch we went back to the house and loaded up a couple of trees to take to my Mom's house. It was my Mom's birthday so we were going to go visit her and take her out to dinner so it was a perfect time to take the trees. We had taken them out of the ground to make room for Khloë's play set. My sister is thinking of getting married in the yard at my Mom's house so we're working on the landscaping.

There are two Indian Casino's by my Mom's house so we all ended up going to one of them for dinner. I can't handle being in the smoke and I'm not lucky at gambling so I went outside to wait. That's where hubby found me and I snapped the bottom right picture. This was in the evening, but the weather was nice and warm and the sun was still shining. I love these longer days.

My Life Monday - Week 14

My Life back on track. I'm getting there slowly, but I am definitely getting there. I have week 14 to share today.

April 1st through the 7th included lazy days (mostly by all the animals), busy days (mostly my husband. LOL) and a mix of weather. We had beautiful blue skies one day, rain the next and then back to blue skies and warmer temps.

On Monday I received my Project Life order from HSN. I got the new Blush and Jade kits by Becky Higgins and they are gorgeous.

Now that the temperatures are warmer the snakes have come out of hibernation (sorry for mentioning them Donna). I would love to give them away, but for now they are still in our care.

Coco, the puppy, is teething so she is doing a lot of chewing. Luckily she hasn't chewed anything up that she shouldn't. Of course that rug that she has in her mouth was supposed to be in the doghouse, not in the middle of the lawn being chewed on!
See you back soon. Cindy

Project Life - week 13

A second posting of Project Life in one week, woohoo! I told you I'm gonna get caught up (-:

This was a busy week with a new puppy, Easter and my youngest sister getting engaged.

The dogs are getting along well, thank goodness. I gave Coco her first bath (that we know of) and she did very well. I added a bow to her hair because she is a girl after all. LOL. She wasn't so happy with it though and shook it right out.

To make my title card for this week I used Art Philosophy for the font. I also used a new stamp I got at the Scrapbook Expo. It's the chicken wire in the background. I really like it and think I will find a lot of uses for it. The dog on the journaling card was cut from the Cricut Cartridge Boys Will Be Boys at 2.75".

My niece and nephew came to stay at our house from Thursday until Easter Sunday so on Friday after work I stopped at Krispy Kreme to get some donuts for everyone. Yummy.

The cute little rabbit and dragon fly were cut from the Kate's ABC's Cricut cartridge at 3". This is one of my favorite cartridges. I also have to mention the picture of Khloë on the left side. She had a mouth full of pop rocks. This was the first time she's ever had them and she thought it was pretty funny. She said, "more please". Such a cutie.

Yesterday I was a guest designer on the Cricut FANatics blog and shared a layout I made for our puppy Coco. Here is a peek at that layout:

My Life Monday - Week 11

Busy week here, but I was able to get some time in my scraproom. In between packing for my trip to Georgia I've been doing a little crafting. I have cards to finish at Mania and a mini album to start. Hopefully that will be enough to keep me busy all weekend. I'm hoping I can schedule a couple of posts for when I'm gone. For now I have another week of Project Life.

While I was at work earlier in the week my daughter in law sent me picture of her and my 2 year old grand-daughter getting pedicures. I love those cute little pudgy feet. After work I spent a couple of days painting our bonus room. Starlet (our kitty) was more than happy to keep me company and climb the ladder I was using. On Friday, after work, I went to the Pleasanton scrapbook expo. All I can say is that by the looks of all the crafters, the economy just got a big boost.

On Saturday I went back to the scrapbook expo with the help of my super enabling sister. And yes, I bought even more stuff! I had to take a little break later in the week and have some hair therapy and then it was back to working on our bonus room. I printed out some pictures for inspiration and started building cabinets for storage. Two cabinets down and at least two more to go.

My Life Monday - Week 9

Helloooooo Spring! Well, I don't think it's officially Spring yet, but our weather feels like it lately. It has been absolutely beautiful with temperatures in the 70's. It's been so nice that I think I caught a case of the Spring cleaning bug. I have so many cleaning and organizing projects going on right now that I have to force myself to stay focused on one thing at a time.

Week 9 started out with a good mail day. I got my order of Project Life page protectors. I really needed them so that I could get this week done. Then, my cleaning started with getting my son's non-working car out of the garage and towed away. We donated it to Kars for Kids. That gave me room to work and pull things out of the cabinets in the garage.

It's crazy how one thing leads to another. Cleaning up the yard leads to planting flowers. Warm weather is leading us to fixing up a play yard for Khloë and ordering a swing set. Cleaning the garage and making more room for storage lead me to reclaiming space in our upstairs bonus room. It's all still "in progress", but I love what we've been able to do so far.

Another thing I needed to get done this week is the banner and glasses for a friends wedding in April. The first vinyl mustache I cut out was a little too small so I stuck it on Christopher and took a picture. Hmmmm, maybe a mustache is not the best look for him. LOL.

Here is a picture of both pages together.

A close up of the banner.

Friday and Saturday I was able to go to our local Scrapbook Expo and came home with some goodies. I'll try to take pictures and get them on the computer so I can share tomorrow.  Enjoy your week.

My Life Monday - Week 8

I'm falling behind. Yikes! Where does the time go? I feel like I have 101 things to do and no time to do them. I'm trying my hardest to stay up to date with my Project Life, but we're now at the end of the day and I'm just now getting pictures on the computer.

My week isn't as decorated as I'd like, but at least it's done. I got my Cricut Mini delivered, I got my nails done and I even got some of my Cricut handbooks added to my Kindle Fire this week.

On Friday I got a pretty new purse (-:  My other purse was starting to break at the strap so it was time and there just happened to be a great sale going on at the Coach Factory Store. Yay me!

The bottom left picture is Scooter after getting his manicure/pedicure. Yeah, he's smiling now, but not so much when I was clipping his nails. LOL.

Well, that's all I got this week. I don't see things getting any less hectic around here, so my goal is to just stay above water. This Friday and Saturday should be lots of fun though. I have a Scrapbook Expo to visit. I wonder what kind of trouble I'll get into.....

My Life Monday - Week 7

Hello and Happy Monday. Another week and another month. I can hardly believe it's March already. Looking back on week 7 I realize we've had a lot going on though. The week started out with the arrival of my new Kindle Fire. Yahooo! Now I just need to learn how to use it. I've put a few of the Cricut handbooks on it already and plan on putting some YouTube videos on it for when I don't have internet access.

The girlscouts were also out in full force this week. I bought three boxes of cookies in front of our local grocery store and also ordered three boxes from a friends daughter.

I worked on a banner for a friend of my son that is getting married in April and hubby and I went out to dinner for Valentine's Day.

The end of the week was the most exciting. Our son and daughter in law invited us out to lunch, I thought for Valentine's Day, but they surprised us with a big announcement. They just found out that they are expecting baby #2. We are sooooo excited. Khloë will be a big sister.

I used Cricut cartridge Birthday Bash for this cute title card. I love this kangaroo with the baby roo in the pouch. I cut them out at 3". The birds holding the 'surprise' banner is also from Birthday Bash and cut at 2".

Other things this week were cleaning and making Thank You notes. Nothing that compares to baby news!

My Life Monday - Week 6

Hello and welcome to another week of my life. At the beginning of the week my younger son was sick with the flu. Then my husband was sick with a cold. Luckily everyone was feeling better by the time Saturday came.

It was important for everyone to feel better by Saturday because we had a party to go to. Our older son and daughter in law threw an anniversary party for us, for our 25th wedding anniversary.

Other things I wanted to highlight for the week (besides all of the flu and cold medicine) was the price of gas, the number of rolls of pictures I had developed and our orange tree that was full of oranges. Oh and I can't forget my chocolate croissant!

I wasn't very creative this week with my title card or the journaling cards. I used Art Philosophy for the week and the date again. The arrows were cut from some pre-printed papers. I added the dates with my Smash date stamp and then I added some washi tape.

My Life Monday - week 5

Do you ever feel like time is just flying by? That's how I feel lately. Maybe it's because we've been so busy lately. I just can't believe we're more than half way through February already. This is one reason I'm glad I've been documenting our lives with Project Life. Even though I'm only on week 5 I like to look back and remember the things we've done and also remember the days we didn't do much of anything.

It took me a little longer than I expected, but I was able to get week 5 completed. I had to add a couple extra pages because I couldn't narrow down the pictures any further. These two pages were the first three days of our vacation. We had rain and sun each day.

My title card was made using the Art Philosophy cartridge and Pack Your Bags for the palm tree, cut at 3.75".

The turtle was cut from Create a Critter at 1.50".

On the right side page I used Quarter Note for the Happy Anniversary, cut at 1".

The next two pages take us through the end of our vacation. We went on a helicopter ride, to a Luau and snorkeling with a sea turtle.

The helicopter was cut from Boys will be Boys at 3". The clouds were cut from Create a Critter at various sizes.

The hula girl was cut from Life's a Beach at 3.8". The little crab was cut from the same cartridge at 1".

This cute little sea turtle was cut from Pack your Bags at 3".

The fancy umbrella drink was cut from Pack your Bags at 4".

Unless I lost count I think that makes 6 cartridges used for these pages. I love that so many of the cartridges work well together. See you next time. Cindy
