Hello friends. It has been one busy week and I haven't had a chance to post anything I've been working on. We've had graduations, birthdays and races this week. All of which needed my ever faithful Cricut.
My older son, Michael, had his first Rock Crawling Race on Saturday. It was extremely hot. When we got back to town for a late lunch it was 112 degrees, but I'm sure it was hotter than that during the race. My son wanted Khloë to have a special shirt for the occasion, so this is what I came up with. I used Quarter Note and Life's A Beach for the font.
I also cut vinyl for the numbers on my Son's jeep.
All suited up and ready to 'Crawl'.
Michael and Khloë after the race. She's very proud of her Daddy.

My Life Monday - week 5
Do you ever feel like time is just flying by? That's how I feel lately. Maybe it's because we've been so busy lately. I just can't believe we're more than half way through February already. This is one reason I'm glad I've been documenting our lives with Project Life. Even though I'm only on week 5 I like to look back and remember the things we've done and also remember the days we didn't do much of anything.
It took me a little longer than I expected, but I was able to get week 5 completed. I had to add a couple extra pages because I couldn't narrow down the pictures any further. These two pages were the first three days of our vacation. We had rain and sun each day.
My title card was made using the Art Philosophy cartridge and Pack Your Bags for the palm tree, cut at 3.75".
The turtle was cut from Create a Critter at 1.50".
On the right side page I used Quarter Note for the Happy Anniversary, cut at 1".
The next two pages take us through the end of our vacation. We went on a helicopter ride, to a Luau and snorkeling with a sea turtle.
The helicopter was cut from Boys will be Boys at 3". The clouds were cut from Create a Critter at various sizes.
The hula girl was cut from Life's a Beach at 3.8". The little crab was cut from the same cartridge at 1".
This cute little sea turtle was cut from Pack your Bags at 3".
The fancy umbrella drink was cut from Pack your Bags at 4".
Unless I lost count I think that makes 6 cartridges used for these pages. I love that so many of the cartridges work well together. See you next time. Cindy

Hawaii layout
Hello everyone. I am so excited that today I was able to participate in the Cricut Fanatics blog. This was the first time I have ever posted on a blog that was not my own personal blog. The Cricut Fanatics blog is put together by Cricut lovers and will showcase a different project every day. The designers will change each day which will give you lots of variety. The project I created is below. Please go to the Cricut Fanatics blog to get more information on my layout and other projects.
For the title of my layout and for the airplane in the clouds I used the Cricut Circle Exclusive cartridge Something to Remember. They were both cut at 4" except for the word Hawaii. That was cut at 1 1/2".
The green scallops on the top and bottom of the pages were made using the Art Philosophy cartridge, cut at 1/2". I used my Gypsy to weld 4 of them together to get the 12" long size that I needed.
The hibiscus flower was cut at 1 3/4" from the Life's a Beach cartridge. The photo mat on the left side will hold a 5x7 photo and the mat on the right side will hold a 4x6 photo.
I hope you've enjoyed my project today. Other Hawaii pages and projects will be posted to my blog as I prepare for my first big vacation. I have a feeling I'll be needing a lot of layouts! Thanks for looking. Cindy

Mini Album pages 1 & 2
Hello and welcome back. Today I have a couple of pages from my mini to share. I haven't done a lot, but I like the way it's coming along. Below is a picture of some of the items I cut with my Cricut Expression that I will add to my mini.
I raised it up with pop dots and used a white gel pen to create stitching lines. It was cut at 2.5". After finishing the cover I pulled out all of my stamps that had journaling opportunities on them. Below are what I found in my stash. Most of these I bought on clearance at Michael's Craft Store more than a year ago. I knew I would use them some day. Heehee.
Below is a picture of page 1 and 2. I used one of the journaling spots and two of the Cricut cuts from Summer Vacation. Under the blue flaps on each side there are openings for tags or lists that I will need. On the left side I will put my list of things to pack and I will add to this list as I think of things I need to take. On the right side I will put the confirmation numbers for the flight, the rental car and the hotel.
On each flap I added ribbon or fibers from this pack that I bought on clearance a long time ago. I just came across this package in my stash when I was looking for something else. I like it when it works out like that.
I'll try to have a couple more pages posted soon, but no promises. I'll be on vacation celebrating my son's 21st birthday. I can't believe my baby is 21. Okay okay no old jokes! I refuse to get old. Stay young and craft on!

Hawaii Mini additional pages
Here are some inside pages for the Hawaii album. Under the airplane is a mini album (inside the mini album!) that opens and is filled with the plane tickets to and from Hawaii. On the right hand side the mini license plate lifts up and yet another set of pictures can be viewed in book form. I hope that makes sense. I don't know how else to explain it.

21st Birthday
Poker Shark Card

This past weekend we celebrated the birthdays of our two boys. Michael turned 21 and Christopher (our little poker player) turned 18. I had to make them extra special cards for these extra special birthdays. These pictures are the front and inside of Christopher's "Poker" Birthday card.
