Vinyl Polka Dots

Another vinyl project today. My daughter in law painted Khloë's room pink last week and on Saturday we added vinyl dots that I cut from my Cricut.

I cut the dots using George and Basic Shapes at 5.5". I didn't have enough vinyl to cut out her name so we used paper until the vinyl comes in. We taped it to the wall so we could place the dots and leave room for her name. The K and the C were cut using Tie The Knot. The other letters were cut using Quarter Note. I'll update the picture when we get the vinyl cut and put on the wall.

Here's an updated picture with the pink vinyl on the wall. (after taking the picture we noticed the dot over the n instead of the i where it's supposed to be. It's fixed now) lol.

Khloë loves it. This is a picture of her in her room with the big ol' teddy bear we gave her when she was born.

"P" for Potty

Tomorrow is the big day... I get my new IPhone! I'm so excited that I took the day off work so that I can play all day. The trade-off will be that I have to go first thing in the morning to have my bloodwork done for the year. That's never fun, but at least I have something to look forward to :-)

In the meantime I have been perusing Pinterest and finding lots of things I want to try. Things from food to DIY projects for the house. Today's project seemed perfect for my new bathroom.

Not the cat. I mean the Monogram on the back of the toilet. Ms Olivia was playing todays model. And not to be outdone, we also have Ms Starlet demanding her turn in the spotlight.

For the monogram I used the Cartridge Tie the Knot. I used black vinyl and cut this out at 6".  I've used this monogram font for several projects. It's my absolute favorite for gifts, especially for glass etching. My dear hubby wasn't very fond of this project though. He said he didn't want his last name associated with a toilet! I told him it was a "P" for potty! LOL

New Vinyl Color

Hello. I received my vinyl order yesterday and I was very pleased that it was the correct color pink. I was so worried because colors can be deceiving on the computer. It is the perfect shade and the shipping was super fast. I ordered from expressionsvinyl.com on June 9th and my order was here yesterday, June 13th. Here is a picture of the same glass with the new and improved PINK.

I showed it to my friend and she loves it. We're both excited about each of the kids in the Quinceanera (this is kinda like a sweet 16 birthday) having their own glass to remember the occasion. Now my only problem is how to do decorate the glasses for the court. This one is for the guest of honour that will be celebrating her Quinceanera (15th birthday in Hispanic/Latin cultures). I wanted hers to be special so the other glasses will have a little less on them or maybe just one color. Since there are both boys and girls I'm thinking I might just use the purple color. Once I get it figured out I'll post pictures.

Custom Vinyl Glasses

Today I have another vinyl project for you. My friend's daughter is having her Quinceneara next month and I will be making the champagne glasses for her and her court. I didn't have the right fuschia pink color that will be in the ceremony, but I couldn't wait to try this out. I already ordered new vinyl and will re-do this glass when it comes in.

I used the Cricut Quarter Note cartridge for the NP and the date. I used good ol' George for the circles and Tie The Knot for the purple swirley design under the initials. This will be the glass for the guest of honor (after I change the pink). The rest of the court will have glasses that are not as fancy.

Since there are boys and girls I will make each of theirs with just purple vinyl. they will have their initials and the date. Once I buy more glasses I will start on those and post pictures later.
Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I totally forgot to make my post yesterday. Dealing with realtors, lenders, money and waiting for news on a house can be really stressful. Crazy thing is, it's not even for me! My son and daughter in law are trying to buy a house. They were outbid on two, waited for months on a short sale and now they have found another house they like better. The problem is that it is also a short sale and could be a long drawn out process. The only good thing about it is that they will be able to save more money while they're waiting. I just hope everything works out and that they DO get it. I have't seen the house in person, but I've seen pictures and it is absolutely beautiful. It will be perfect for them.

So as I said, I forgot to make my post yesterday. I wanted to make this post yesterday so that today I could post my Valentine tree. Well, my Valentine tree didn't get finished either )-:
I will try to get it finished when I get home from work and get it posted tonight but no guarantees.

What I did get done is this wall art for Khloë's room made with vinyl. I used pink and green because eventually (when I have time to do some more decorating) those will be the colors. For now the walls are pink and this vinyl is the only thing on them.

For the large K in green I used Kate's ABC's. For the K and the C in pink I used the Tie The Knot cartridge. The rest of the letters were cut using Quarter Note and welded together using my Gypsy. The dragon flies were cut from the Close To My Heart cartridge, Art Philosophy. The green one is actually the layer that would normally go over the pink layer, but I liked them by themselves.

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Girl Version

Happy Friday everyone. Any big plans for the holiday weekend? I had some time to finish my layout of Khloe and now a little time to relax. I haven't figured out what else I'll be doing for the next 3 days, but I'm sure it'll include some craft time.
Okay, so here is my layout. I used the same cartridges for this girl version as I did the boy version. Pooh Font for the font, Straight From the Nest for the scallop and George for the circle under the title. Oh, also Tie the Knot for the tag.

I can't believe these pictures are already 3 months old. Time is just flying by and Khloe is getting so big. She has one tooth now and doing a lot of teething. Her mommy isn't getting any sleep these days because poor little Khloe isn't sleeping very much.  Boy do I remember those days from when my boys were little.

Happy Crafting everyone. Cindy

5 Months Layout

I'm finally getting this layout posted. Sorry it took so long. I still need to do my girl version. Hopefully that won't take me so long.
This first picture is the layout following the sketch from PageMaps page 18.

I seem to have way too many pictures to scrapbook though, so I like to add more than 3 pictures to my pages. This next picture will show how I added an extra 3 pictures and a journaling tag.  I used Tie the Knot cartridge for the journaling tag, Straight From The Nest for the scallop border, George for the circle with the title tucked behind the pictures and Pooh for the font.

And this is the sketch I used. It was made for an 8 1/2 x 11 double layout, but I stretched it to 12x12.

I'll be back as soon as I get some time to get the girl version done. Happy crafting everyone.
Blessed are the children of scrapbookers, for they shall inherit the scrapbooks.
