Cat Got Your Tongue?

Hee, hee, hee. Everytime I look at this picture I can't help but laugh. My little kitty, Starlet, was in the middle of a big yawn when I snapped this picture. For the font I used the Lyrical Letters cartridge with the Loop Dee Doo font option. This cartridge has a lot of different fonts that are sure to fit just about any project.

Together

For this layout I used the brackets from a few different cartridges. The word {Together} is from the Calligraphy cartridge. It's a simple layout, but I like that I could put several pictures on the two pages. I tend to take way too many pictures and find it very hard to narrow them down. The more I can get on a layout the better.

21 and Legal

21 years old. Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday my first born little boy was starting kindergarten. I was teaching him how to tie his shoes and write his name.  One day he was playing t-ball and the next he was graduating highschool. Somewhere along the way he grew into a wonderful young man. I miss those  little boy days, but I also look forward to all the days to come. Marriage, Fatherhood, Home Ownership... Living life to the fullest.
On this two page layout I used Lyrical Letters for the font, Block Party for the Pina Colada drink, Celebrations for the party hat and Hello Kitty for the cupcake.

Giraffe from Create A Critter

Yay, I got a little bit of time to work on another card. This one is also from the Create A Critter cartridge and I also used the Martha Stewart Icicle border punch for the grass again. I think this giraffe is one of the cutest critters on this cartridge (I think I say that every time I cut out any of the critters). I love the sunglasses. I wanted to make this a card for my niece though, so I decided to add bows and make it a girl giraffe. I cut the bows from the poodle and they worked perfect.

Create a Critter Zebra

Hello everyone. Sorry I have neglected my blog in the last week or so. Things get a little hectic sometimes. I've had lots of things running through my mind that I want to make, but finding the time is not always easy. Luckily the Create a Critter cartridge is so easy to cut and put together, I was able to get this card done in just a few minutes. The Zebra and flowers were cut at 3 inches. The grass is actually punched out from the Martha Stewart Icicle border punch. I was in a hurry and didn't have enough time to search for grass on my Cricut cartridges so I grabbed what I had close. I think it turned out okay though. What do you think?

Baby card and Sour Cream container

I am having such a hard time waiting to find out if my first Grand Baby is going to be a boy or girl. I'm making everything twice so that I have a boy version and a girl version. The pink card above was highlighted in the Cricut Chirp Newsletter on June29th. I thought it was so cute I had to made a blue one. I used the Sugar and Spice Lite cartridge on both, but for the blue version I was able to use my Gypsy to size everything. I love my Gypsy. It makes sizing soooo easy.I also made a pink sour cream candy container. Once I find out if we're having a boy or girl grandbaby I will make a bunch of these for the baby shower. It will be another two weeks until we know, but after that you will be seeing lots of baby stuff posted. I would also love to hear what you guys would like to see. I'm always open for suggestions or a little challenge. Happy Tuesday everyone.

Vacation in San Diego

Sorry for the bad pictures on these. I already had the protective sleeve over the layouts. These are pictures from the resort where we stayed in San Diego. It was beautiful and I loved going around and taking pictures.

These are pictures of our house duck. He was so cute. He would come to our room every morning and quack at the sliding door until we opened it up and fed him. He even came in the room. It was so cool to wake up to this friendly little critter.I love these pictures. Even though the layout is very simple, I really like the colors and remembering the beaches of San Diego.More pictures around the resort. The flowers were all in bloom and very pretty. While in San Diego we spent a day at the zoo. It is a beautiful zoo. We were a little tired and sore the next day from all of the walking, but it was worth it. If you haven't guessed, I'm a big fan of the animals. These are pictures from Water World in San Diego. Yes, more animals!Another simple layout that I love. The starfish pool at Water World was really interesting. If anyone is going on vacation in San Diego I highly recommend the zoo and Water World. I would love to live in San Diego. Maybe the Cricut Circle will have a gala or swarm there. Just give me an excuse to fly out there and I'm there.

Father's Day Layout

Todays layout was made using the new Block Party Lite cartridge. For Father's Day this year we bought Hubby a new grill and of course I had to take pictures of it to scrapbook. Unfortunately I couldn't wait for the Gypsy update for the Lite cartridges. I had to make my cuts using trial and error. The sizes I ended up using are as follows:  The Barbeque guy was cut at 4 1/2", the grill was cut at 4" and the steak in the upper left hand corner was cut at 1 1/2". The Happy Father's Day was cut from the Calligraphy cartridge at 4".
Blessed are the children of scrapbookers, for they shall inherit the scrapbooks.
