Baby Shower Layout

What a fun day. Little kids and babies are always entertaining. These pictures were taken during my sisters baby shower for her 4th and last baby. She has 3 girls and will now have a boy to add to the bunch. For this layout I used Alphalicious for the title, Plantin Schoolbook for the large brackets and an EK Success border punch for the green scallop.

Enjoy Life

Why is it always more fun to scrapbook current pictures? I have tons of pictures from last year that I really need to get done, but they just don't inspire me. These pictures are just from last week. My youngest sister had a barbeque at her house and all of our kids were there playing and hanging out together. Of course half of them are teenagers now so they have their own conversations going. There seems to be three groups of people: The adults, the teens and the kids. It's not always easy to get everyone in the same vicinity anymore, so this was a nice day together.

Wrong way to Travel

Almost late again, but I finished this layout just in time for the LID challenge on the Cricut message board. I used Graphically Speaking for the title. These are pictures of my son and his truck. For some reason every truck he has ever owned has ended up on a tow truck. I think he's proud of that too because just look at the smile on his face. He's one of those guys that has always enjoyed taking things apart and changing them up. Luckily he knows how to work on trucks and usually (USUALLY!) he puts them back together.

Family

This is a layout for the LID Challenge over on the Cricut Messageboard. I haven't done my journaling on the right hand side yet, but I needed to get this posted. I used the Gypsy Font for the title, TBBM for the tags and I think I used George for the hearts. I can't remember. The picture is of my husband and I with our two boys on our older son's wedding day. Can you say "Proud Parents"?

Tomato Thief

These are pictures of my sons dog. My husband had planted a tomatillo plant and was eagerly waiting for them to ripen. Unfortunately the dog found the plant before hubby had a chance to pick them. In these pictures the dog was pulling off the tomatillo, squeezing through the railing that was meant to keep him out and then running off to the lawn to eat it. I used the new Cricut Lite cartridge Block Party for the tomatoes and the dog. I also used the Sugar and Spice cartridge for the scallop circle.

B is for Boy (and girls)

Isn't this  a cute little girl layout? Can you believe I made it using the B is for Boy cartridge? I just changed up the colors and Voila! A girl page. I love the little inch worm and the dinosaur.  I cut the Peek a Boo at 5", Wee One at 4", the Dino and Inch Worm at 3 1/2".

Sugar and Spice Boy layout

I was going for versatility with this cartridge. I used Sugar and Spice, but instead of making a girl layout I wanted to make a boy layout. There are definitely girl images on this cartridge, but there are also a lot of images that can be used for a boy as well.

Sugar and Spice cartridge

Okay, so today was the day to play with the new Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite cartridge. This is a really cute cartridge and I have big plans to use it a lot. My son and his wife are expecting their first baby. We don't know if it's a boy or girl yet so today's projects were just practice. On the layout I cut the stork at 4", the tag at 6" and the Baby Girl part of the title at 1 1/2". The Welcome part of the title was cut using A Child's Year cartridge at 2 1/2".

Baby Shower invite

This is a baby shower invitation made with the Cricut Lite Sugar and Spice cartridge. I cut the stork at 3" and the scalloped oval at 4". The striped paper is Debbie Mumm. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the corners and the ribbon was just something out of my drawer. The lettering was done with some clear alphabet stamps I had in my drawer.

B is for Boy layout

Okay, so I went back to Wal Mart and got the baby cartridges: B is for Boy and Sugar and Spice. So far I've only opened B is for Boy. My biggest reason for buying this cartridge was for the Flintstone car. My boys had one forever and loved to ride in it. What great memories. So of course that was the first thing I had to cut out. The car was cut at 4 1/2 inches, the dump truck at 2 1/2 inches, the airplane at 2 1/2 inches and the Boys will be Boys was cut at 3 1/2 inches. The clouds (cut at 2") and the Dirt (12" wide) were cut from the Every Day Paper Dolls cartridge.

Create a Critter Birthday card

I have been busy today making a birthday card and also a 2 page layout. The card was made with the Create a Critter cartridge. This cute little piggy was cut at 3 1/2 inches. The Happy Birthday stamp is from Paper Trey.

Handy Man Layout

Another layout from one of the new Cricut Lite Cartridges. This one is from Handy Man. All of the cuts are from this cart except the grass, flowers and tree. The grass is from PDDU, The flowers from WIMG and the tree from SYI.

Too early for Halloween?

Is it too early to get ready for Halloween? This was another fun layout done using the new Celebrate with Flourish Lite cartridge. I cut the tree at 10", the witch at 4 1/2", the scarecrow at 4" and the pumpkin was cut at 2".

Create a Critter Grad card

The Cricut Create a Critter cartridge has some of the cutest cuts on it. I quickly made this graduation card using the Create a Critter Dinosaur cut at 3". The grass is cut from Paper Doll Dress up at 4" wide. The Grad cap is from Hello Kitty cut at 5 1/2". Diploma on the inside of the card is cut from Hello Kitty at 1 1/2". Congrats is cut from Wild Card at 3.75". I am having so much fun with these new cartridges. Stay tuned for more. Thanks for looking.

Spoiled Cat

These are cuts from the new Cricut Lite Cartridge called Meow. These cartridges are super simple to use. The layering is very easy. These are pictures of our lazy cat Olivia. She lays on her back in the middle of the floor all the time. Sometimes we have to step over her and she doesn't even care.

Hot Dog card

Quick and simple birthday card made with Block Party for the hot dog and A Child's Year for the font.

Block Party & Celebrate with Flourish

Love love love these new Cricut Lite cartridges. I am having so much fun making layouts. For these two 12x12 pages I used Block Party for the Boy and Girl (cut at 8") and the dog and cat (cut at 4"). I used Celebrate with Flourish for the Sunny Days and the Sun/cloud (cut at 4"). The grass was cut at 12" from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.

Celebrate with Flourish layout

This is a two page layout to match the Father's Day card I made earlier. The Celebrate with Flourish cartridge has wonderful cuts that are very easy to layer. I'm looking forward to making a lot more cards and layouts with this cartridge. This time around I cut the #1 Dad at 6" and the fishing pole at 6". The glitter paper is from the My Minds Eye Home stack.

Father's Day Card

This is a Father's Day card made from the brand new Cricut Lite cartridge called Celebrate with Flourish. This is a great cartridge with lots of holiday images such as: New Year's, Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The #1 Dad was cut at 3" and the golf bag was cut at 4".

Block Party Layout

Is this the cutest layout or what? I ran to WalMart to check out the new Lite Cricut Cartridges as soon as I heard they were out. I picked up Block Party and Handy Man. This layout was made using the Block Party cartridge for the people, grill and Come 'n Get It. The fence and grass were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. The Clouds, sun and tree were cut from Create A Critter- one of my all time favorites. This layout came together very quickly and was a lot of fun. It just puts a smile on my face because it's so cheery.

She wears her heart on her nose!

I finally got some time to do some scrapbooking this week for the LID Challenge on the Cricut Messageboard. I just got these pictures developed of Starlet. She was helping me scrapbook and checking everything out. When she looked up at me I noticed she had a red heart stuck to her nose. It was so cute I snapped a picture and then carried her into the family room and asked my son to take another picture in case mine didn't turn out. It was so cute. I love these pictures. I used a heart from the Sweethearts cartridge and the font is from A Child's Year cartridge.
Blessed are the children of scrapbookers, for they shall inherit the scrapbooks.
