Today I'd like to say "Happy Anniversary" to my hubby. We've been married 23 wonderful years today. I woke up to French Toast, Bacon and my favorite French Vanilla Coffee this morning. He's a super great guy and he supports my Cricut addiction.
So todays project came about because I had a question on the Cricut message board asking how a person could use the Campin' Critters cartridge if they don't camp. Well, that got me thinking and this is what I came up with. Everything except the title and grass is from Campin Critters. I cut the title from Alphalicious at 2". The grass is a mix of torn paper and a Martha Stewart icicle punch. The sizes for the Campin Critters cuts are: 6" for the Bunny behind the tree, 8" for the forest of trees, .75" for the eggs and 3" for the sun.
I have another layout in mind using this cartridge that doesn't include camping so be sure to check back.

Campin' Critters matching page layout
Happy Friday! I'm so happy the weekend is finally here. I'm hoping to have lots of time to craft this weekend. I know I've already said it before but I really do love this cartridge. The layering is super easy. The images are adorable and I think this will be my very favorite cartridge ever. I hope you like it too because you might be seeing it alot on my blog over the next week or so. Feel free to leave me some comments and let me know what you think. Until next time, I hope you all have a wonderful craft filled time.

Campin Critters Layout
I got the new Campin Critters cartridge yesterday that I ordered from Cricut.com and I love it. I was so excited I wanted to cut something immediately so I made the project that's in the book. Let me just warn you that the sizes for the Happy Camper sign are NOT correct. I couldn't use my gypsy because it doesn't have CC on it yet so I went by the directions in the book for sizes. For the sign it says to cut it at 5 1/2". I'm thinking they must have meant 3 1/2". I didn't have time to try it smaller yet. I will do that right after work today and post an update. Just wanted to let everyone know about the incorrect size in case you plan on making it. I must say that it is super cute though, even if I didn't use the sign. Until I get home and can take a better picture and also try the smaller sign, here is a really bad picture I took this morning (in the dark with my cell phone).
Okay, back home now with a better picture and a different size title. I cut the Happy Camper at 3 1/2" this time and it worked out much better. I also changed the ribbon at the top, but I still don't like it much. I'll have to go shopping for ribbon this weekend. I'm working on a second page to go along with this one, but I'm waiting on my Gypsy to update. I'm hoping the new cartridges are included on the update because I have a hard time knowing what size to cut things without it. Be sure to check back tomorrow to see the matching page.

Life layout
Happy Wednesday everyone. Can you believe I have another layout done already? I'm trying to be better and post more often. It's just a little harder to find time to craft these days since I've been away from my craft room every weekend. I wish I still had 3 day weekends, but I guess if I want to keep feeding my Cricut addiction I have to put in more hours at the J.O.B. In fact, every time I think I have all the cartridges I'll ever need Provo Craft comes out with something else I must have. Last Thursday was no exception. There was another release of new cartridges and of course there are at least two on my must have list. There is a cartridge called Kate's ABC's and a cartridge called Baby Steps. I'm trying to be good and only buy one, but I can't make up my mind which one. They also came out with one called Campin' Critters that is the cutest and most different cartridge I've seen in awhile, so I've already ordered that one. Can't wait to get it. In the mean time I'm trying to use the cartridges I have. I want to use something Cricut on every one of my layouts. For this layout I used paper from my K&Company paper stack. This first picture is without any Cricut, just 4 different patterns of paper. In this second picture I added a title that I cut out using the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cartridge. The picture is a little washed out on this one because it was late when I finished gluing all the letters down and I had to use the flash on my camera. You get the idea though. I think I will use this layout for pictures from this coming weekend. It will be mine and my husbands 23rd wedding anniversary. We don't have any plans other than spending time together and with our two sons, daughter in law and grand-daughter. I think the title here will fit the occasion perfectly.

Laughing layout
Okay, so I made this layout a couple of days ago and wasn't very happy with it. I used my K&Company paper, some cardstock from my pile of paper and the Don Juan cartridge for the word laughter. It might look better with pictures covering the white cardstock, but it just wasn't working for me. So I went back to my supplies to see what else I could add that might look better. I covered thed white mats with more K&Company paper, added a layer of orange printed paper to the peachy colored cardstock and a little ribbon to the top. It's still not my favorite layout, but I think it looks much better than it did. I've never been good at combining patterned papers so this was a little difficult for me (I think I mentioned that in my previous post). If you have any tips for me I'd love to hear them. In the mean time I will keep trying and see what else I get out of this tablet of paper. Thanks for stoppin' by.

Grow layout
I bought a new paper stack by K&Company last week and finally got around to using it. All of the printed paper is from this same stack called Spring Blossom. I really like printed paper, but usually have a hard time using it. I've made it a mission to USE this paper and make a lot of layouts from it. I have another 2 page spread in the works so stay tuned to see what's next. The title (grow) was cut at 7" from the Cricut Just Because Cards cartridge. The oval mats were cut at 2.77" for the yellow and 2.9" for the pink from the same cartridge. This is a very different style for me, but I think I like it. What do you think?

Fabulous sister
Yay, I got something done. I love the Forever Young Cricut cartridge, but haven't used it nearly as much as I would like. This is a card I made for my sister. She recently had surgery and I just want to cheer her up. She is the most fabulous sister anyone could have. I cut the woman at 5" and the words at 1".
I also went to Michael's Craft Store today and was able to pick up a few cartridges for $9.99 on clearance. I got Cuttin Up, Stand and Salute and Winter Woodland. None of these cartridges were on my wish list, but I figured for $10 I couldn't lose. I know there are at least a couple things on each of them that I will use. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It was my birthday on Friday and I started celebrating on Thursday so I've had a fantastic 4 days. Take care.

Thank you Myamagoo
I would like to send out a very big "Thank You" to MyaMagoo on the Cricut message board. What a sweet person she is. She took my original picture of my grand-daughter (you can see the original in an earlier post) and made it into this piece of art. I absolutely love what she did with the picture. I have already had it printed and framed. Thank you Myamagoo.

Khloe Christine layout
My first layout for Khloe. I used Nursery Rhymes for the font. This picture was taken in the hospital right after she was born so it's a little dark. I have a lot more layouts planned and will hopefully have time to finish a new page everyday for awhile.
